Sandy, I was at Kohl's today too (the one on Kipling and C470). I wonder if we were there at the same time? I didn't get too much this time, just a few things for the kids. I did go to Mervyn's over the weekend though and spend a bunch of money at their going out of business sale.

Heidi, Last year I got a really nice formal dress at Dillard's right after new years. It seems like it was marked down to $50 and I had a $25 gift card to use.

Hi ladies! I am obsessed with these glowing flip flops, Selena! I want them and my bf thinks I have lost it, too! We had glow in the dark bracelets. I ordered 200 off ebay last year, so we wore them almost every night. It was fun. It would be even more fun with more people, I think.

Yes, I do have a lulu of a cold, lol. Actually laryngitis. I cannot speak, I can only squeak. It is horrible. I was horribly hoarse all day and by the time school was over, I could barely squeak. And the worst part is, with Curves being all busy bc it's January, my boss increased my hours and I really didn't have too much of a say in it. So I was there from 4 to about 9:20. So I just ate dinner. Ugh, I need to stop eating late at night, but I was only in my house from 3:30-3:50!

At least I have Monday off!

Oh, and this weekend, I wanted to relax and get some work done- no shopping, no out with friends, etc. Problem. My friend from high school asked me 2 months ago to go to a party/demonstration (for unmentionables) I really don't want to go, but I feel committed, esp. since I haven't seen her since August/Sept. I am really wanting to get out of it. Any ideas?

Anyway, I will post Day 2 of the Cruise this weekend. Just not up to being creative right now.

Cristi - that was a great deal on the dress that you got from Dillards. I like to go to either the Park Meadows Dillards or the Westminister Mall Dillards because they usually have more dresses.

LuLu - Just tell her you don't feel well. I am sure she can here it in your voice, just say you would meet her for soup!!! I am in the same situation, my best friend is going out with me tomorrow night to visit with an old friend and she really doesn't want to go but she is doing it for me but in return I have to go to a candle/jewellery party with her. This old friend and I speak all the time, she lives in California but use to live in Colorado and the 3 of us were inseperable. Well after my best friend got prego with her son, our old friend didn't make an effort or anything. They haven't seen each other or talk to each other in 3 years. I hate those parties but I owe my best friend one!!!!!

Last night I went to a TimeShare presentation.....Dang that is high pressure sales!!! I have never done that before, never really wanted to but my cousin is very athletic and plays many sports for Columbine and it was a fundraiser for the Columbine baseball team. He had to get three people to do it...me, my parents, and his parents!! I was the lucky one to go first (atleast I got it over with). The team gets $100 and I was supose to get a $50 gift card. I was up front and said that I am just hear for my cousin to get $100 but that didn't work out as I planned, they still tried their hardest. After 3 people trying to convince me, they finally gave up and told me where I can get my free gifts!!!! Not only did I get what was mentioned above, but I also got a $10 gc to Shell for gas and a 4 day/3night trip to Orlando, Las Vegas, Mexico, or Hawaii. I guess it was worth the abuse...BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Sandy.. first, my sister works at Dillards in Nebraska. She always gets great deals. I do too when I shop there when they have sales. When they have sales, the prices are great!! I kind of was going to look for a red formal for the cruise.
Well.... that concert has to have been one of the BEST concerts I have gone to. I was not getting my hopes up as Billy Joel IS getting older (and Neil Diamond sang quite a bit slower and differently than he did in his younger years when I saw him in Oct). HOWEVER, Billy, looking GREAT, belted out those tunes I think better than he did when he was young. The lights were great, he did not waste any time, he has a sense of humor and he be-bopped all over. It was great... absolutely great! Got me VERY excited to see Aerosmith next week!!! AND... I looked snazzy, if I must say so myself, last night.... almost better than my 25 yr old DD!
Today I am making the chocolates since I did not get them done yesterday (I too was out shopping for an outfit for the concert.... I MUST stop spending!!!) So, as soon as I am done with this I am going to get sweet!
Cristi.... do you know Heidi and Sandy or Jrsy... I cna't believe there are 3 of you from the same town!!!

This is my last weekend off until April 17th. I think I'm about to make me a Malibu & Pineapple juice. my DH surprised me today with an early birthday present. My birthday isn't until February 10th but he ordered my present early so he could get it engraved and he knew I would see the money go through the bank so he went ahead and gave it to me. He got me an Ipod, the one that plays video. And, I can put pictures on it too so you know it won't be long and I will have cruise pics on it. He had it engraved on the back with my name and the saying "Music for Life." I had the Nano engraved for Aerial for Christmas too. I am going to set it up to play in my car and I am going to throw out all of the CDs I have made. I am so hard on them they get scratched up all the time. Okay this present was the next best thing besides a surprise trip on the Sept 10 day Really I love it. Can ya tell I'm excited!!

Christi gald you came back around. I love Painkillers. THey are so good, but I am not big on anything banana or the coconut in my drinks. Or at least the nasty stuff in the Bahamas that was coconut eas disgusting.

Mac and I are going to get our toes done in about an hour. I am thinking about having them hot pink with a snowman and a palm tree. What do you all think? I just took off the pink with snowflakes.

Did I tell you guys I had my navel pierced? I had it done right before Christmas as a present for Jeff. That hurt!! If I would have known I would never of had it done. I mean I had been warned years ago but then someone told me it did not hurt to have it done anymore. Well it hurt me. I thought I was dying. It has been 8 weeks today and finally it looks good. I bought a ton of stuff on Bodycandy.com.

Well I better fix breakfast for the kids so we can leave on time.

OMG Selena, I got my navel pierced last year for my birthday. It hurt so bad and i got so sick to my stomach I laughed for an hour What was I thinking that wouldn't hurt. Anyway all was well while I had the round loop that they give you, but once I started changing them out I had problems and ended up letting it close. I had it in 5 months I think.

Well... it is much better now and I got all of us girls matching Tink Belly rings for the cruise!!! (Told you I was bad!!) It will get better. I used that Bandaid Foam stuff and that not only made it feel better, but it helped it alot. Iwas SO glad when it finally healed. My last tattoo was the year before and that HURT but I didnot have any problems. Now I want to get one more... maybe two and am second guessing it b/c of my age. They are all hidden so that would not be a problem, but still...I am getting a little wimpy in my old age!!!

Karen, Jeff wants me to get a tattoo but I just can not do it. Jeff had been wanting me to do the naval for years. When I worked at the bank a guy I worked with did this and he said it was one of the worst pains to do on piercing. I told Jeff no way after that. That was when E was a baby. When we went to the Bahamas in October one of the girls I met there said it did not hurt. She jerked up my shirt and pinched me and asked if that hurt. I said no. She said that is about how much it hurts. Well needless to say I was alittle under the influence at the time. It really hurt me so bad. It was worse than child birth and believe me I had all natural with E at the end. After having it done I came home and went to clean it and I was covered in blood. Scared me too death. I told Jeff that I would be the next CSI case. LOL I love the CSI Las Vegas show. I started doing baths in epsom salt and that helped me alot. It still looked awful even up to a few weeks ago and I discovered an old scringe the vet ahd given me without the needle for drops on one of the dogs. I cleaned that sucker and used it to put the epsom salt water directly to the wound while in a bath. Now I am telling you it looks great. I am at 8 weeks. I love it. I am glad now I did it but no way would I do it again. Robin told me when she did it my skin was tough. LOL Anyway now my 12 year old is wanting it done. I know she is not responsible enough right now to have it done. Plus when I told my dad he had a fit. He told me he was glad it hurt me. I could not beleive it. He also warned me I had better not allow Mac to have it done. She is wanting it done for her 13th birthday in April. I just do not know. Like I said she is not responsible enough. Don't get me wrong she is a great girl and very mature but she does have to be reminded to feed her cat, her dogs and her gerbil. I just do not know if I am up for it. I will be the one who has to deal with the pain and help her clean it and remind her to take care of it. I think she needs to wait until she is older. Jeff does not care. Which really surprises me.

Heidi I am going to look for the blinking flip flops online at Walmart.

Why do people get so worked up over the fact Palo is Palo not Palo's????
What does it truly matter? Does it change the fact that this is a wonderful restuarant? I just do not understand when I go on a thread and someone is telling the poster that it is Palo not Palo's. Maybe the do not mean it ugly but I have yet to read a post that could not be taken nasty. Why do they do it? What does it matter? I do not get it? Do they not understand that there negative statements can scare people away from this board? Do they even care? No they do not they just want to be a know it all!! I hate poeple like that. You guys know my name. It is a little different. I am 37 years old and over those years most people either say it wrong or spell it wrong. Does that change who I am? NO! Does it mean the person who made the mistake meant to do it? I highly doubt it. I do not call them on it because I do not want to embarrass anyone. I learn along time ago this mistake does not change the fact of who or what it is so why upset anyone over it? I will never understand it.

Guess what. Remember awhile back I told y'all that my DH decided to do our roof. Well, he put in a request for material costs and could never get a reply. It really is crazy how roofing is so in demand you can't get anyone to do anything. Anyway, one of the guys at my DHs work gave him the name of a roofer and so he called him today. He already came out today during lunch and gave us a bid that was very reasonable so we hired him. Sometime at the end of the week or next week we are getting our new roof. It only took 4 months too. I am so relieved.
