Well, Dane called me today and he is closing on his loan next week. He will be settling with me and then I'm supposed to file. :sad2: I am sad now, it will be nice to have the money to fall back on but I rather be married.

I'm sorry Marcie  Hang in there. We are all here for you if you need us :grouphug:

Sandy, I hope you feel better, it stinks being sick:sick:

Jrsy, what is Alex's award for? How did he do in the Math Olypiad yesterday?

I am busy getting ready for a fun filled girl scout camping trip. 95 people  Send pixie dust for good weather. I think it is supposed to rain.

 I know you are sad, but you will be much better off without him in the long run. He didn't treat you the best and you deserve so much better. :grouphug:

Cristi - Pixie Dust your way. I think it is supose to be cold and rainy. I am hoping the weather man will be wrong.

I wish I could remember what it was exactly. It isn't for academics, but more like he just had a really good marking period.

In the Olympiad, there were 16 teams. Three tied for first, one in second and his team tied for third with one other team, so they came in ahead of 10 other teams.

We're hoping he will be wrong, too. We have 10 yards of mulch being delivered in the morning.

Oh my, so many Coloradians have outdoor plans for this weekend. Not a good plan!

Marcie, HUGS, what can I say? I know you are sad but you are getting through this like a trooper. We are all proud of you here.

Just got back from the Dr. I have strep and the reason it has me so down is because when I was little strep gave me rheumatic fever (heart disease) and so it has taken its toll on me. He was so sweet. He gave me 3 days worth of amoxicillin to get me through the weekend and then on Monday when I am feeling better I can got get a prescription. I was pleased with that as I have no ambition to go to a store right now.

Just remind yourself that you don't want to be married to someone that doesn't put you first. Anyone that puts themselves first is not worthy of you!!!

I hate strep!!! Take all your meds and get plenty of rest.
My 23dd carries the strep virus in her at all times (when she was about 9 she had to have a bunch of tests and we found that out) over the last 7 yrs I have started getting it at least once a year..... Only 1 of the other kids have ever had it (9ds last year).

Lesson for today.....

Don't wear flip flops when you are going to be pushing a buggy through a store. I smashed the crap out of my toes. :sad1:

:rotfl2: You are my hero. :thumbsup2 Great tip...I am laughing hysterically over here. :lmao:

Stephanie - I seem to be only a carrier too for strep. Working at the daycare I was around strep throat all the time but I have never gotten it. (I am saying this as I am crossing my fingers and typing!!) I get severe sore throats but throat cultures always come out negative for strep.

Jrsy - Alex did good yesterday. I bet he was so proud. :cool1:

The funny thing (to me anyway) is that I have never had a sore throat when I've had strep........My main symptom is total exhastion. I can barely wake up (not like me at all!) and am sooo exhasted.

Sandy - I hope you are feeling better soon!

Samantha (16) and Elvis (9) had their piano recital last night. :goodvibes They both did a great job -- this is the first year of piano for both of them. in about 11 days they all 3 (add in Claire, 5) have their acting class recitals. :goodvibes Then in 12 days Claire, 5 has her graduation from kindergarten. :yay:
She has gone to a Montessori Preschool for the past 3 yrs and this is her graduation. She is soo excited to join her brother & sister in being homeschooled next year. ;)

Good morning.

Jrsy - how did mulching go this weekend?

Cristi - How was girl scout camping weekend?

Stephanie - sounds like you have a busy few weeks coming up!!!!

Marcie - How are you doing? How are you feeling?

Selena - where are you???? How was OBX?

LuLu - what busy things did you do this weekend? I am sure you did something, you are always busy!!!

I had a great weekend. I went to visit my sister and spent the weekend with them. It was a lot of fun, but makes me realize how much I miss them. It snowed down there and it also snowed last night there too. My sister isn't so pleased about that.

Hi all! I'm back from camping. Now, I must tell you our camping trip is lodge camping so we are inside with running water and heat. It went really well. There were about 75 or so girls and about 17 adults there. A cadette troop planned it ( I was in charge of registration, money, sleeping arrangements, that kind of stuff). They did a "That's Entertainment" kind of theme. Some of the events were "Iron Chef" (learning to make a healthy snack), Jill Nye the Science Scout and Girl scouts do ESPN sports event. They were all pretty fun. It was snowing when we got up there Friday night and I was worried about the weather, but it was okay. Saturday was really strange, we had a little rain, sun, snow, hail and thunder (while snowing). The only time it got kind of yucky was towards the end of the events, before dinner. It was thundering/snowing when we were in our last event and for the couple of hours of free time before dinner.
Here are some pictures that I took on Sunday morning before we came home.

Jrsy - how did mulching go this weekend?
Before I answer that, here is a LINK to a short video clip from Alex's award on Friday (you'll need headphones or speakers). It was a Peabody Celebration Award and there were a bunch of kids from each grade who got different awards. Is it just me or is blubbering like yawning in that once someone starts, it is contagious? The teachers were having trouble getting through presenting some of the awards.

The weather worked out great for mulching. The rain from Friday and overnight had stopped by morning. We had clear skies and cool weather for spreading the mulch and, by the time the clouds rolled back in, we were just about done. We have only about 2 cubic yards left still to be spread and our yard looks so much better. Now if it would only stay dry long enough that I could mow...

We were grateful yesterday that we'd BBQ'd at Cristi's the previous Sunday.

Cristi - those pictures are beautiful!!! Where did you go?

Jrsy - I loved the video of Alex's award. Sounds like he is a great student to have in class. I bet he was so excited.

We went up to Tomahawk. It is between Pine Junction and Bailey.

Jrsy, I couldn't get sound on the video (yes, I did turn my speakers on) :)

He was sitting there with his fingers crossed as they announced the names from his class. I guess me and Tammy and her mom and sister and his cousin being there didn't clue him in.

I don't know what to tell you other than to give it another try.

I'm so glad that you got to spend that time with them!!!
