Monday - September 4, 2006: Animal Kingdom
Woke up early to enjoy the one hour early morning entry while the rest of Chris’s family slept in. We were able to walk on to the safari where we ran into my parents and the Disney Dudettes (Jeanne, Joyce, Bonnie), they went on the ride before us and the girls were running to try and get on the same vehicle as them but the CM’s wouldn’t allow it. We had a great safari and saw lots of animals, the girls really enjoyed it. From there we met Chris’s family at Expedition Everest. Once again Emily ran to me and begged me to ride with her while Chris rode with Amanda. I absolutely LOVED that ride, it was the best…but Emily did not enjoy it one bit. Chris’s sister, Karen, rode it one time with us to see if her daughter Brittany could ride. Karen was a little worried since Brittany just had heart surgery, but decided she could ride it because she was really looking forward to it. Everyone else went for a second ride with Brittany but Emily, Karen, and Fran.

We let Karen choose the next ride and she chose Kali River Rapids. At this ride we ran into my parents and the Dudettes again. The first time around Karen got soaked while everyone else, except me, got a little wet. We begged the CM to let us stay on and he did but they would not let my parents and the dudettes stay on in the raft behind us so we had to wave goodbye as we went for another round. The second round Karen decided to move and sit in the empty seat so she was assured she wouldn’t get drenched…..wrong again, as we get ready for the big hill the raft turns around and Karen is going backwards down the hill….SPLASH and a huge wave of water came over Karen and she was soaked again. I have never laughed so hard, we were all crying from laughing so hard. The others were soaking wet also but somehow I was the only one dry with just a few spots of water!!! When we got off the ride, Karen convinced all the wet soaked bodies to give me a big hug so that I could fit in with them. They did and I was a little wetter but it was not good enough for Karen so she was determined to get me soaked and push me into a fountain. I was fighting her and by the time she got me up to the spout the water shut off, so she got frustrated and dumped her bottle of water on me!!!! Can you believe she wasted a bottle of water in 100 degree weather at Disney, which she paid nearly her life savings for, just to get me wet!!! Good fun, I think Karen remained wet for the rest of our day. We ate lunch at Pizza Safari which was a nice break and had air conditioning for those of us who were able to dry off. Had fun at a Bug’s Life, it was so neat to watch all the kids reactions to that show. Emily, Amanda, Rachel and Morgan were all reaching out for the stuff and Rachel was sitting on her feet and Brittany stood up for quite awhile after the bee.

245654304_1000_0115.jpg

(Notice that red ouchie on Rachel's knee? That happened when Karen was pushing me into the water fountain and she knocked her daughter over in the process)

Our last ride was the safari again. This was a memorable time for me on the safari because a giraffe came charging out of the bushes towards the vehicle. It scared the daylights out of me. We hear a noise and the next thing we look at is the giraffe’s huge neck. I scooted over away from the giraffe and Karen who was sitting next to me scooted towards the giraffe to take a picture.

We ended our day shopping at AK and went back to the hotel to rest up for Epcot at night.

We ate at Le Cellier, and let me tell you that they had the best crème brulee ever. Their cheese soup and pretzel bread were good also.
245656007_1000_0299.jpg

After dinner we waited for Illuminations to begin. While waiting I pulled out all the glow necklaces and bracelets that I bought for the kids and they had a blast. We enjoyed the show and went back to the hotel. We didn’t attempt to do anything else in Epcot because we were coming back the next day. Brittany and John were suppose to leave tonight because Brittany had a math test that she was worried about, but Brittany decided that she wanted to stay because it wasn’t every day that she gets to spend time with both her uncles and cousins at the same time.

Marcie - we haven't heard from you in awhile, we are hoping you are okay.

Tuesday – September 5, 2006: Epcot
245669355_1000_0302.jpg

We made it to Epcot early for the early morning hours and because Karen and her family had to leave this afternoon. We were approached and asked if we wanted to try out a new attraction dealing with Kim Possible, all the girls shouted yes and we were told to come back at 10:30 to start our mission. (more on this later) While waiting for our time to come, we went on Soaring three times and went to test track. Emily was so nervous about Test track that she was using the excuse that she had to go to the bathroom. Of course she tells me this when we are in the debriefing room about to enter the loading area for the ride. I really thought she had to go, she is a good little actress and had me fooled. I told her there were no bathrooms around and we needed to ride to get to the bathroom. After the ride was done turns out she loved the ride, wants to go again and no longer had to go to the bathroom.
245659406_1000_0234.jpg

(Look at how unsure she looks right before we take off!!!)

Chris, the girls, his mom Fran, and I had to go to meet my parents at Coral Reef for lunch while the other went to find out what they were doing with the Kim Possible attraction. Lunch was great and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Lucky us missed most of the Kim Possible new attraction because of lunch and everyone else was fed up with the Kim Possible thing when we rejoined the group. With the new Kim Possible attractions you get into a team and go on a mission, sounds fun right??? WRONG. We all know how huge EPCOT is and a ton of walking. They give you a cell phone (1 per team which they make you put a credit card down for a $300 deposit per phone) and the cell phone gives you your mission and is linked to computer chips wherever the clue may take you. They had the kids running across EPCOT. One team started in England while the other team was in Germany, from there they were sent all around EPCOT in different directions. The team that started in Germany when they finished their clues at Germany were sent to Innovations and then back to the American Pavilion, and then Norway and then Canada. Each place had 3-4 different clues you had to find before the next mission. Whoa, we decided that is way too much walking so we aborted the mission with whiny, crying, angry kids.
245659438_1000_0365.jpg

245660136_1000_0134.jpg

(NEVER volunteer to do this unless your kids are good walkers!!)

Chris and Jerry stopped at every place possible to get a beer. By this time the kids were hot and tired of stopping and waiting for them, they just wanted to see characters and ride rides…so Karen and I left the guys and took the kids around.
245661892_1000_0097.jpg

We met up at Club Cool for some Coke (remember Chris works for Coke!!)
245661903_1000_0304.jpg

245661899_1000_0379.jpg

and then finished up at the fountains outside of Honey We Shrunk the Audience. The kids played in the fountains and got soaked.

It was time for Chris’s sister and her family to leave so we said our goodbyes and Chris, the girls, his brother, his mom, and I headed back to the hotel for a hair wrap, homework time, dinner and a swim.

Wednesday – September 6, 2006: Girls going home
(Unfortunately there are no pictures for this day..all these pictures were lost, thanks Walgreens!!)

Never did I expect this day to turn out the way it did. We met my parents and went shopping at Downtown Disney so the girls could spend the rest of their Disney Dollars. When it came time for them to leave I thought I was going to lose it. Fran, Chris’s mom, was flying home with the girls and Jerry was flying home around the same time so we decided it would be a lot easier for me to stay at Disney while Chris took the girls to the airport with the rest of his family and come back to Disney when the plane took off. I never thought the girls would cry as hard as they did saying goodbye. My mom and I were even crying because of how upset they were. They did not want to leave Disney and most of all they did not want to leave me, they were begging for me to come. After many hugs and tears they took them to the airport. I think it affected me for a few hours afterwards, it was the saddest thing I have seen from them.

My parents and I went back to Magic Kingdom because it is a tradition that we have to spend the last night at the MK. Chris got a gate pass so was able to be with the girls until they boarded. He made it back just in time for dinner at Kona. Kona’s food was excellent and very filling…I decided by this time that the dining plan offers way too much food. After dinner we went back to MK to hit our favorite rides and finish shopping. I always hate leaving MK on the last night, it always makes me cry and I can never look back. We got back to All-Stars to do laundry for our upcoming cruises to find out most of the dryers were broken and there was a back-up for dryers. Laundry was done by midnight. Off to bed to be ready for our cruise.

Only if you want to hear me scream like Ned Flanders. It is feeling much better today, though I'm sure some of that is the Vicodin. The swelling seems to be going down, but it itches under the bandage.

Selena, look for Cosmo. He is on his way. It was so hard to box him up. It was like shoving a friend in a box. I felt so mean.

Heidi, thanks for sharing the pirate costume that Cosmo has. Everyone....that is the one I couldn't wait for you all to see.

Heidi, still loving your trip report however, it makes me feel like I missed so much. Remembering the girls tears at DDT was still hard.

Marcie, I was just thinking about you today as well. Is everything ok?

Jrsy, good to see you post even on Vicodin.

Anybody interested in another ornament exchange this year?

Woo Hoo Cosmo is coming to NC again. I love his pirate attire. I can not wait to see him again. MacKenzie is looking forward to spending time with him.

My brother bought my kids the white tiger from Build A Bear that they sale in Las Veags. Him and his girlfriend made them and she said Scott talked to them all the time they had them. They said it was really funny when they had just made them and he was talking to them inside their homes. Imagine a full grown man walking down the street in LV talking to a stuffed animal in a box.

OH I am in for the ornament exchange. Oh yeah I want to do that again. It was so much fun.

I'm interested in an ornament exchange again if everyone else is.

Jrsy - I feel so bad for you, to help with the itches, use a coat hanger!!! (worked for my broken arm!!!) Missed you at the corn maze, it was a lot of fun.

Today we went to the pumpkin patch to choose out our pumpkins and then we went throught the corn maze twince. It was a lot of fun, pumpkin prices were reasonable.

I'm here, thank you! I've been so super busy.

I am all for the ornament exchange again!!! I can't believe it's almost thattime of year again.

Jrsy I hope your knee is doing okay. Sounds like you are getting around okay.

I am loving the trip report and pictures. Cosmo looks great, i love his pirate outfit.

I gotta finish catching up on all of the posts so sorry if I missed anything.

Aerial has me running so much lately. Thursday night was her last volleyball game. (They won :thumbsup2 ). There was so much spirit in the gym with it being the last game, the teachers had all of our faces with that black makeup stuff they put on football players. She was sad it was over. She's decided not to play basketball again this year so she's not playing anything now until softball in the spring.

Friday night they had a school dance so we dropped her off and Dane and I went out to eat Sushi. We were done and came home to wait until time to go pick her up at 11 and I cat napped for a while in my computer chair. That's pretty bad I couldn't even stay awake until 11 LOL.

Since Aerial's about to be a teenager I decided to make it special and I made her an appointment to get her hair cut and done for today. The lady who cuts our hair cut her hair in a cut style layered and Aerial loves it she's been looking in the mirror all evening. She fixed it good enough where she said it should be good to stay fixed for her little birthday party tomorrow. She invited a few friends and we are taking them out for lunch to eat sushi, i ordered a cookie cake for them. This will be after the morning breakfast with my Mom....
My cousin called me Friday night and said my Mom was trying to make breakfast plans with her friend here in my town since they were passing through, so I had to call her friend and tell her we are surprising her. Her friend told me she will be so excited to see us. So, we will see. I know she will be excited to see Aerial just don't know about me.

Also, today we went to target and got some Halloween goodies and boo'ed her friend. We went over to his house while he was at church and left the gift bag on his porch. I can't wait to see what he thought about it. Aerial was so excited about it.

Jrsy, it's almost Alex's birthday too right!!! Happy Birthday to Alex!!!

I'm going to bed soon, I have to be up at 7 tomorrow for all the plans. I have been so run down, I'm trying to get my energy back. I'll let ya know how our family meeting goes tomorrow.

We went to the corn maze yesterday too. It was my first time going. We didn't end up getting pumpkins though. We went with Jacob's cub scout den. It was fun, but it seemed expensive to me. We spent $16 to just get in and I couldn't figure out what exactly we got for that because we still spent $20 to do the corn maze ( and that is with me having a buy one get one coupon). :confused3 I would have had more fun if it were about half the price. :) Rachel did the bungee trampoline thing they had in the kids area. She really liked that. Jacob did it last year and didn't like it so he just did one of the bouncing castle things. I don't think I will be able to do the corn maze again because my neck was totally broken out all afternoon and evening after I did it. It really itched!

Heidi, I am loving all of the pictures and the trip report. I love the pirate's costume for Cosmo! pirate:

Marcie, good to hear from you again! Let us know how breakfast goes. Happy birthday Ariel!

Happy birthday Alex! 10 right? The big double digits. Rachel will be 11 in a few weeks. She is really excited. We are going to have an American Idol slumber party.

I am up for an ornament exchange. Someone will just need to 'splain it to me. I wasn't around for it last year.

Yes, he will be 10 on Wednesday. He is also having a slumber party, so I hope my knee is healed by then! Took the ACE bandage off, so I can scratch a little more now. Have only taken one Vicodin since last night, but haven't slept very well. The swelling is going down, too.

Cristi, I like the new picture in your siggy!

Soo the mother in me has to come out.....Jrsy.....what in the world do you think you were doing by using a wire hangar for scratching????? I know it felt better but just think about the damage you could have done. Ok, I am a friend again.

Marcie, it was fun reading all about Aerial. How did it go with you family gathering. I hope it was better than you dreamed of!

Cristi, all we did for the ornament exchange was to draw names and set a price and an opening date. I think the price was like 10 or 15.00. Lulu and Jrsy, are you in? I will draw names as soon as I hear from everyone. I might even email Karen to see if we can get her out of the woodwork.

Selena, I was just noticing all your cruising dates. Wish I had all those under my name! I am glad that you understand how I felt shoving Cosmo in a box. Man, I think I need a Cosmo just for me. lol Just wouldn't be the same though.

Sandy, read a little closer. I don't see where Jrsy said he used a coat hanger.... only where your daughter said that she used one for her broken arm and suggested it to him. ;)

I am in for the ornament exchange.

So, are you doing his party next weekend? How many kids are you having? I broke down and told Rachel she could invite 5 this year. We did 6 a few years ago for her birthday and that seemed like too many so I told her from now on a maximum of 3. But she is older now so I think I could handle 6 total girls. Besides I like all of the girls that she is inviting this time.

Thanks about the picture! That was the kids on the first day of school this year. It only took me about an hour of playing with it to figure out how to get it small enough for the guidelines. I think I will type out instructions on how I did it so that I don't forget next time. It really wasn't that hard. I just made it way harder than it needed to be.

So, who is watching the game tonight? My parents came over for lunch today and then we had apple pie at about 330 so I am thinking I don't really need to make dinner. Maybe just some wings or something.

Heidi, Put me down for a yes for the Pampered Chef party. I am trying to get a friend to come with me, but I don't know if she will or not. She may be going to either the corn maze or Six Flags next weekend.
