Did she come to your house or did you meet here somewhere? If she came to your house, I would do the refund. It is not worth her doing something in retaliation. If you met her somewhere, I would not refund her money. It was working when you sold it, so it is not your problem.
When I sell something electronic, I bring along my power inverter when I meet the person. That way I can SHOW them the item is in working order.
Once I bought an air purifier on Craigslist. I met the guy in a parking lot. Didn't notice til I turned it on that it reeked of cigarette smoke. UGH, I was trying to get RID of allergies, not add more to my air. I sucked it up though, because it DID work and I hadn't asked if it was from a smoke free home.
