Crafts, spreadsheets and pixie dust... oh my! A PTR for May 2014

Following along with your PTR. Loved your trip report. I'm planning our first trip to WDW for next May/June, so I love reading about what everyone else is doing. This will be my DD's 10th birthday, so lots of things to plan. And I must confess, I'm a spreadsheet geek myself. Part of that has to do with my job (financial analyst), plus I just find it easier. I love the countdown spreadsheet you posted, and I've "borrowed" it for our trip.

I agree about waiting for SW flights - I will be able to book our outgoing flights but will have to wait for the next "window" before I can book our return flight. Maybe we will just have to stay down there.

Looking forward to hearing more about your planning. I keep thinking about starting a PTR, and I keep putting it off. Maybe one of these days.

I cannot think of anything more fantastic for a DD's 10th birthday than Disney World!

We got 2 more Disney walks in today! Hooray!

We also looked at rearranging and adding some ADRs, which I will update a by later when they are a little more firm.

I am curious to see how the magic bands and fast pass + work. I noticed you have a current trip report, I will be stopping by shortly.

I have never heard if a trunk or treat! It sounds fun though! Maybe you could do a Mickey not so scary theme?

a mickey theme would be fun! there is a contest for pumpkin carving--we could even do Disney pumpkins! you may have given me an idea!!! they ask you to keep it not too scary since most of the kids are little. a trunk or treat is like trick or treating. everyone parks in the parking lot at church (our daughter goes to the school affiliated with our church) and decorates the trunk of their car, then the kids trick or treat at each car. it's just a safe way of trick or treating. plus fun! they are having a costume parade, a dj and dancing, pumpkin carving contest, pizza and popcorn. it's our first one, so i'm super excited!

your DH is adorable doing the ring toss but bearded you was tooooo funny! loved it!

Trunk or treat sounds like a fantastic idea! Hmm maybe something for our church/school to do in the future!

I love fall too! We are still teaching the 90s most days here but I am so ready for it to be fall I have brought all my soup recipes out, and have been trying to dress fallish despite the heat! I really hope it cools off soon!

DIS is amazing. A friend who wished to remain anonymous made this amazing graphic for my son! The plan is to print it on a shirt but to test it out I printed it on a piece of paper. Goose found it and said "Mickey has patch!" And "McQueen! McQueen!" He had been carrying it around with him all afternoon.

He had so much fun! I think he was a little freaked out by mommy in the beads. I am so excited about his Mickey shirt!

So glad! Seeing how excited it made him, I am really thinking about calling the company that makes his patches and seeing if they could look into doing a Disney line.
