Craft Lite Cutter

Hi I just saw a commercial for the craft lite cutter and was thinking of buying it. SO i wanted to come here and see if anyone has one and what they thought of it? Also how big can the paper be you stick in it/ how tthick? Thanks!!

We may have to get a craftlite cutter & report on it!
I wonder if any retailers carry it - like the ones that have merchandise "as seen on TV."

I just bought one of these. I have used a Fiskars rotary cutter table for years and it works great. The Craftlite Cutter's under-lit feature is a terrific idea, but the array of LEDs is so dim it does not shine through even thin paper even in a darkened room. Also, the reference line on the bed of the cutter does not line up and is not parallel with the path of the cutter disc - 1/32" to the left and nearly 1/32" off parallel. In my world, that's a lot! Even though it cuts reasonably well, it doesn't do the one thing it's designed to do, project a line to allow you to accurately align your cut. I hope somebody takes the idea and produces a decent execution of the concept, but don't waste your money on this product, you'll be disappointed.

I have a fiskars. Can you get different design blades for it?

I also have a Fiskars rotary cutter table I've used for years. I love it. It does take up table space while cutting. I turn it on it's side to store out of the way. The little rubber pad underneath the cutting blade is supposed to be changed out every few years when it develops a cutting groove. But I've found it now works as an exact cutting line where the blade will cut. I can line up the paper along the top & bottom of the line. No need for any lights.

If you need a cutter, definitely get one. The cuts are clean, quick & professional. This rotary cutter has the ability to change out the blades to the perforated, wavy, etc. You can get them at Michael's with the 40% off coupon.
