Cracker Barrel Interview

I have an interview for the retail area of Cracker Barrel today at 1:00. I'm incredibly nervous because I don't feel I'm good at interviews at all. I get so anxious.

Anyways, does anyone know what type of questions might be asked in this interview or just how long I should expect it to be? It's just the entry level position so I'm not thinking too long. Has anyone ever worked for Cracker Barrel and if so how did you like it?

I'm sure you'll do well! I worked at a Cracker Barrel in NJ as a server. I did not work there more than a few months because I received a full time job elsewhere. I was a server and I thought it was a pretty good gig - hard work, but I did not have problems with management, corporate, etc. The question I remember most from the interview was why I wanted to work at Cracker Barrel specifically.

Just relax. Be yourself. Smile. They are looking for smiling faces.

I've worked for them twice. I was a cashier a loooonnnnngggg time ago when DH & I were first married. Then worked at another stor a couple of years ago part time as a server on weekends.....weekend tips were great!

Usually in the gift shop they are looking for someone who is friendly and can greet and talk to people easily.

They are a decent company to work for it can get very busy at times.

Expect to be asked what hours you can work and how flexible you can be. They can't ask "what are you going to do about your sick kids" but what they want to hear is that you aren't going to be calling in sick every other week because your child care fell through. Retail is tough, but the important things to management are 1) will you show up for your shifts 2) will you be presentable 3) will you be friendly to customers and 4) are you honest enough not to rip them off.
