We're looking for the best Crab restaurant in Orlando. Any advice?? We were considering either Fulton's or the Flying Fish. We would prefer an upper-scale adult atmosphere. Please advise. Thanks.

I was really tired, had a busy day, and planned on giving you some realy grouchy advice..then I realized you were looking for advice of food..hrummmph.

haha - sorry to disapooint. I didn't catch the double meaning but at least it will catch people's attention......

Haven't been to Flying Fish.
We really enjoyed Fulton's :D
Nice atmosphere, good service, great food.

Thanks Nancy and thanks for not pointing out my freudian slip. Any other opinions?

Well--if you are looking for steamed crabs, or crabcakes Maryland style, you'll find neither at WDW.
Snow crab legs and such is another matter, but I never eat them and so cannot offer any advice.

Flying Fish is an excellent restaurant, but the crab you'll find there will be crab cakes, not crab legs. Very nice atmosphere and excellent cuisine.

If you do venture outside the World, I would advise against one of the all you can eat lobster buffet type places. Quantity over quality in a major way.

For plain crab legs and such, the Flying Fish is definitely out, and I personally was not terribly impressed with Fulton's for the price. If you'll have a car, try the Crab House (that's the actual name). I believe there are several in the Orlando area, and one that's within 10-15 minutes w/traffic drive of WDW. (My sense of direction and memory for such things stink, but you can try online Yellow Pages or a restaurant guide.) They have lots of fresh, simply prepared, good quality seafood at a reasonable price. We went for lunch, and I think the crab leg entree was ~ $15. If you like cold seafood, they have a bar available by itself or as an addon (~ $7 I think?) with cold shrimp, crab, shellfish and such. The atmosphere was more urban warehouse-y, with paper table coverings and not linen due to the food selections, but I thought it was pretty nice nonetheless.

There is one in the Crossings just outside of DTD. Very close and generally very good food. Atmosphere is not, however, quiet.

For a minute I thought you were asking for a nurse's opinion.;)
I don't eat crab legs, but they have them at the Cape May clam bake for an extra charge.
( sorry about the crab crack. I couldn't resist.)

When I was there a few years ago, my favorite meal was crab legs at Fultons. It is a little pricey, but not bad as Disney goes. And there were not many kids there. I highly recommend Fultons (at least as it was a few years ago--things change I know).

I've been spoiled by a regular diet of Maryland crab. Fulton's is ok. Cape May-oh no! Not sure about Flying Fish. Check off property. (There's a great little place in Baltimore...)
