So...after hanging out in the room a bit, we are off to the next adventure. I think I forgot to mention that Ethan begged to be able to go to the Sandcastle Club. I had made a reservation for him for Saturday night. It was for 5. So I change my clothes, and we head off to drop Ethan off at the Beach Club. We check him in, pick his dinner....and he has already headed off to the video games!
Dave and I decide that we will head back to Epcot. We can leisurely walk through the world showcase, without the "I wants", or the "let's GO's". We walk to the International Gateway, and start to think about what we wanted to do for dinner. We walk past le Chefs de France, and notice there is no line. We turn to each other, and say...what the heck. We have never eaten here, so we'll give it a try. We walk up, give our name, and in less than five minutes, we are seated. Score! Helps that it was right after they opened. We were seated in the back, but we could see pretty well out the windows, without having people watching us eat! Our waiter, I think his name was Robert, I can't remember, was from Nice. We chatted a bit about that, as I had been there in college. Of course, I couldn't remember anything about it, other than being there! It was many years ago!! He gave us a recommendation for the escargot. We decided we would be adventurous and tried it. It was pretty good! At one point, I pulled something out that looked like a hair. Pointed it out, and we got a new one. He did say that it actually came from the animal, but they replaced it anyway. He was probably right, it didnt' look exactly like a human hair. But that meant more yummy escargot!
I ordered the filet, I think. And Dave ordered some fish thing. They were both good, but my steak was better. Service was really good. Got to see Snow White coming and going outside. The manager came over at one point to ask how things were. I made a point to tell him our waiter was really good. He said he was fairly new. That really surprised me, but I always like to make a point to let them know of good service. We opted not to get dessert, as we were full. Plus, I figured there would be a snack later! I hear Beaches and Cream calling my name!!
