CR wing room request

We have a wing room (garden/water view) booked at the CR. We'd like to request one of those rooms that are really close to Bay Lake. I read about those rooms in a guide book that said they feel like you could just throw a fishing line out the window into the lake it is so close (we won't do that of course). How exactly can I request one of these wing rooms, what words do I use to request it? It looks farthest from the tower in the maps and I would assume that would be considered more in the back as you are facing the CR so, can I just say something like "a room in the back closest to Bay Lake" Does that make sense? I'd just love to have one of those amazing lake views.

Or at least does anyone know if the side of the CR facing the MK is considered the "front" while the side of the CR facing Bay Lake is considered the "back" That alone would help making my requests. Thanks to anyone who can help in any way.

I would probably just suggest that you want a room close to Bay Lake. You may want to request a floor in your case as well.

You're quoting the Unofficial Guide, aren't you? lol. Well, it's correct. We requested and got a Bay Lake view on our visit last year, and it was one of the best rooms we've ever had. Make sure to request first floor. In the morning I'd enjoy my coffee on the patio, watching the boat traffic through the fog on Bay Lake. At night with my drink I'd listen to the loons and ducks and watch the boat lights crisscross the lake. You really feel like you're someplace other than WDW.

Thank you both so much. I am sure I did get that description from the Unofficial Guide. That view just sounds so amazing. I'm sad I can't afford the tower, but that view could make up for it. I'll request being close to Bay Lake and hope it works out for me. Thanks again so very much.

The south wing is closing for refurbishment. Don't know when your trip is.
