CR vs GF in June

We will be visiting WDW June 8 -12. We have stayed at CR, Poly and most moderate and value resorts. We currently have a ressie to stay in the CR but are contemplating changing to the GF lagoon view.

Our concerns is that the construction going on at the CR is still not completed and won't be until August.

We have selected Dxe DP and since there is a temporary Grab and Go in the CR we will not be able to take advantage of the refill station.

We have always wanted to stay at the GF and this seems like the right time to do it.

Anyone want to help me decide???

I would definitely do it!

Although, contemporary style in general is just not my taste. I've never had a desire to stay there.

But that personal opinion aside, I love staying in new resorts! Think of it as a chance to sample and try something different. You can always book your next trip at CR.

I've never been to Disney, our honeymoon will be our first time, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt, lol. Initially before we put down our deposit for AKL and DxDP, we too were looking at CR. We liked the modern design and how it wasn't overly Disney themed, well at least from what we saw on their website. Although GF is out of our budget, I would totally stay there. Like you said, with the construction you can't even get a refillable drink at CR and you feel the timing is right. It sounds to me like that you already have your mind made up. Do it, Do it.

Well, I love CR...so I would stay at CR!!! I just love this resort, but not everyone feels that way so.....

Being that my dream is to stay at the GF, I would definitely make the switch. The construction at CR would only make the decision easier for me =)

I would go for the GF. Even without all the concerns above, I like trying different resorts. Because of above, I agree that this is the perfect time to try GF!
