Here's a review from our recent trip on the CR Tower Club:

We arrived here on Friday 10/31/03 at approximately 12:30 PM, (departed on Monday 11/03/03). Once again, zipped right through check in, rooms were ready and staff was great! This resort is our “home away from home” resort. It truly is our favorite and being in the Tower Club facing the Magic Kingdom just cannot be beat in our eyes. The Concierge Staff knew who I was when I got off the elevator, welcomed me and handed me my itinerary. They told me their hours and asked if I needed them to make any PS’s or if I needed anything else to let them know and they would be available to us when needed. They really were great. They told me my luggage was not here yet and that as soon as it was, they would have it sent immediately to our rooms (and they did the second it arrived). The food service they offered in the AM was coffee’s, teas, hot chocolate, milk, chocolate milk, juices, muffins, pastries, bagels, donuts, hot and cold cereals and assorted fruits. The afternoons had, cookies, brownies, fruits, assorted chips, rice krispies treats, coffee’s, tea’s, lemonade, water and other treats (caramel apples one day). Our rooms were clean, bright, large and comfortable. I happen to love the theme here, I may just well be use to it, I don’t know, there is just something about the Contemporary that makes me not want to stay anywhere else. We got 3 bottles of water in our room everyday, along with toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soaps and body lotion. We also had turn down service with chocolates on the pillows (my kids personal favorite). Housekeeping was incredible, they left us a turkey (I think, lol) made from face cloths for a toothbrush holder, lots of extra towels and they did a great job cleaning up. The food and fun center is just great (see my restaurant review) food is great and the arcade is a blast, my family’s personal favorite arcade because of the prizes, lol. The pool was nice with the exception of the leaves that were blowing in the there, there were a lot of them and I really felt like they should have made a better effort to remove them, especially around the area where the water slide is, at times it was hard to swim there were so many. There are a lot of lifeguards on duty at one time here and they have “slide control.” As a matter of fact, they made sure a parent was at the end of the slide before they would let their small children go down it. The lake is great if you want to rent a boat or water mice, we had a lot of fun doing this one afternoon. There is also a quiet pool, a beach and a small playground near the north wing. Besides the monorail, buses and walking, you can also take a boat to the Magic Kingdom or to the other two resorts. The thing about staying on the monorail is the convenience plain and simple. The days we stayed here were the days we were going to the MK and Epcot so this worked out well for us. The only drawback to staying in the tower is that you go to sleep singing the Celebration Song and wake up to it! I suppose if that’s the worst that could happen we’re in great shape. All in all, the staff was wonderful, the rooms were wonderful, they have great restaurants, shops, food court, arcade and transportation. There is not much more I can think of to say except of course we’ll be staying here again and I give it an A+++++!

LoriZH: Nice review. My DD and I stayed there in a wing room and really enjoyed all the Contemporary had to offer. Loved the available shopping and chef Mickeys. Susan

Great review. The CT is my DD favorite hotel. We all love the place. The view from the tower just washes away my whole year of work.

We started out with reservations for CT Club but when the AP codes came out we could not get a discount for that so we had to switch hotels in order to get what we wanted.

But we will still do our fair share of shopping, eating at Chef Mickey's and sitting at the outer rim gazing this trip!

Contemporary is one of our favs too. But I'm glad everyone doesn't see it's charm...otherwise I'd never get in!

We were there at the same time with the same view. The floor was pretty empty. The staff was great. Very courteous and helpful. This was our first time there and absolutely loved the view of the MK. It was almost like you could reach out and touch Space Mountain!

I can't share your enthusiasm for the rooms though. I found them dull and very worn and tired looking. Our bathroom was ecspecially bad. The rooom neeeded a lenghtly rehab. Perhaps it's bad luck and I got the worst one in the building. I expected better in concierge I guess.

I love the way the monorail passes through the building. My kids absolutely love riding it into the building. But other than that, the theme and ambiance of the hotel is severely lacking. Nothing special. Definetly not up to Disney standards.

It is in such a fantastic location. You can walk if needed to the MK. That's nice when the park is a madhouse and it's time to leave. Great views and easy access to transportation.

I hope they make over the hotel in the future. (better yet, add a DVC!) Otherwise, I won't be competing with you for rooms. Once was enough.

My DW would like to stay at the CR Tower Club and we were wondering what food was offered there in the evening. We have stayed at the Poly Concierge and loved it. In fact a couple of nights we made our dinner from the appetizers offered in the lounge. If we had a big lunch at the parks, we came back and had a light dinner from the lounge by the pool. It was great. Is this possible at the CR Tower Club?

No. The Tower Club only serves snacks for breakfast and Lunch. I believe the lunch snacks (which consist of cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, ect..) only last until 4pm.
