Here's a review from our recent trip on the CR Tower Club:
We arrived here on Friday 10/31/03 at approximately 12:30 PM, (departed on Monday 11/03/03). Once again, zipped right through check in, rooms were ready and staff was great! This resort is our home away from home resort. It truly is our favorite and being in the Tower Club facing the Magic Kingdom just cannot be beat in our eyes. The Concierge Staff knew who I was when I got off the elevator, welcomed me and handed me my itinerary. They told me their hours and asked if I needed them to make any PSs or if I needed anything else to let them know and they would be available to us when needed. They really were great. They told me my luggage was not here yet and that as soon as it was, they would have it sent immediately to our rooms (and they did the second it arrived). The food service they offered in the AM was coffees, teas, hot chocolate, milk, chocolate milk, juices, muffins, pastries, bagels, donuts, hot and cold cereals and assorted fruits. The afternoons had, cookies, brownies, fruits, assorted chips, rice krispies treats, coffees, teas, lemonade, water and other treats (caramel apples one day). Our rooms were clean, bright, large and comfortable. I happen to love the theme here, I may just well be use to it, I dont know, there is just something about the Contemporary that makes me not want to stay anywhere else. We got 3 bottles of water in our room everyday, along with toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, soaps and body lotion. We also had turn down service with chocolates on the pillows (my kids personal favorite). Housekeeping was incredible, they left us a turkey (I think, lol) made from face cloths for a toothbrush holder, lots of extra towels and they did a great job cleaning up. The food and fun center is just great (see my restaurant review) food is great and the arcade is a blast, my familys personal favorite arcade because of the prizes, lol. The pool was nice with the exception of the leaves that were blowing in the there, there were a lot of them and I really felt like they should have made a better effort to remove them, especially around the area where the water slide is, at times it was hard to swim there were so many. There are a lot of lifeguards on duty at one time here and they have slide control. As a matter of fact, they made sure a parent was at the end of the slide before they would let their small children go down it. The lake is great if you want to rent a boat or water mice, we had a lot of fun doing this one afternoon. There is also a quiet pool, a beach and a small playground near the north wing. Besides the monorail, buses and walking, you can also take a boat to the Magic Kingdom or to the other two resorts. The thing about staying on the monorail is the convenience plain and simple. The days we stayed here were the days we were going to the MK and Epcot so this worked out well for us. The only drawback to staying in the tower is that you go to sleep singing the Celebration Song and wake up to it! I suppose if thats the worst that could happen were in great shape. All in all, the staff was wonderful, the rooms were wonderful, they have great restaurants, shops, food court, arcade and transportation. There is not much more I can think of to say except of course well be staying here again and I give it an A+++++!
