CR-SOG question on our reserved dates

We have 6 nights reserved for about 5 weeks from now. We may only stay 5 nights instead of the 6. They told me this was NOT a problem if we decided to leave a day early. They reassured me in fact but it still makes me nervous. Anyone have any experiences?? Would hate to be locked in since I think we are departing for the beach the next week and will need to get back home.

If you want to modify your reservation with a guarantee of no penalty, I would do this 31 days before arrival.

If you want to call SoG and verify their policy, be sure to get the NAME of the reservationist that you talk to at Shades.

If you ask the Desk Clerk at check-in, you'll probably find that they'll be glad to accommodate you with no penalty.

I would confirm this if it were me though..........

Unless the policy has changed, the policy is you can add/remove nights all the way up through your arrival. Once you signed the paperwork, stating you understood the policies, THEN you would be penalized for checking out early (military obligation, death, injury, etc didn't count). Disney, on the other hand, has a much more lax policy, to my understanding. You could go to the front desk and tell them you wanted to leave 3 days early the morning you were leaving and they wouldn't blink an eye (CMs have told me they are instructed to NOT ask why as it could be for personal reasons and they don't want to upset the guests).

Thanks FirstNo ! That is what they told me when I called yesterday to specifically ask that. I guess we will hang onto the extra night until we arrive ! Thanks also Flower.
