Hi,

I'm strongly thinking of booking a CR wing room (Tower is out of the budget).

What is the diffrence between the Standard Wing Room and the Garden Wing Room?

Which Wing is prefered North or South (what is the walking time between these)?

Thanks for your help.

We've only stayed in the Wing rooms, I think the rooms in the Tower are the same, it's just the location and views that are different. I think the standard view would be a parking lot view and the garden view would other areas that aren't a parking lot(playground, main twoer, partial water view). There are also water view rooms, that are really nice, although a farther walk away from the main tower. The standard parking lot view can actually give you a view of space mountain, the monrail and fireworks, so they aren't bad at all.

We stayed in the North & South Garden wings. Here are the differences we saw-

North- You are close to the playground and closer to the walkway to the MK. There's also a few picnic tables outside by the playground where we would sit and watch the Electric parade and the kids would play before it started.

South- Closer to the pool area. I thought that the south wing *felt* closer to the main tower but I don't think it technically is.

Our room in the South wing was in better condition then the one in the North but that's probably just the luck of the draw, most likely not representative of the whole wing.

We really enjoyed our stays at the CR, it's a great location! Have a great trip!!

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I will travel with my wife and twin daughters (almost 3) and think the CR is the best choice because of the location.

But my choice can change, because first I had the Poly in mind then the WL and now the CR, I find it pretty difficult to choose the best resort for our stay. We will be staying 5 nights beginning of December.

There IS a difference between Garden views. You pay about $50 extra for a "Garden Wing" view (that's exactly what it's called). This view is, as I've said on these posts before, the most underrated view in all WDW. If you're lucky enough to get first floor, your patio will overlook Bay Lake. You'll have your own private beach, in essence. There's nothing quite like sitting out in th emorning with a cup of coffee watching boat traffic on Bay Lake, or with a drink after a long day at the park.

You're about a five minute walk from the 4th floor Grand Canyon Concourse, but it's worth it for this kind of tranquility. Trust me.
