Anyone stayed at CR lately? How are the rooms and the renovations coming along? Is the new Chef Mickey's restaurant open yet? We will be going in a couple of months and just wanted the 411.

Their renovated rooms look amazing and as for Chef Mickey's Express construction of it is happening right now, so hopefully it will be open next month on the 14th since that is what got posted on here.

Just got back form Poly and went on the monorail and saw the renovations. It looks like they aren't doing much. I hope that it gets done before my husband and I go at the beginning of September. No kids this trip so I hope the renovations are all done. I wouldn't want to see all the work going on when I look down onto the 4th floor. Even if it is not done, I still love this hotel. If you can splurge, I would do concierge because we just did it at Poly and loved it. It is worth it. Just don't do the dining plan AND concierge. It will be too much.

Thanks for all of your info. It certainly helps. We are doing the DxDDP. We would love to stay concierge, but felt like with the DDP, why should we. If anyone can think of some arguments in favor of concierge please let me know so that maybe next time we will splurge.

You're welcome and to answer your question about the Club Level service, some pros would be that your guaranteed a room on the 12th or 14th floor depending on which type of Club Level reservation you select, the services they provide and the foods threw out the day. However if you have a reservation for the Magic Kingdom View it is not guaranteed on the Atrium Club 12th floor, or the standard rooms on the Tower Club 14th floor. It is guaranteed for the various suites on the 14th floor, however they are a lot more expensive.
