We were at the CR last January. I know that the rooms were recently renovated. The 'toilet room' was missing the extra sink and counter that I remember before the remodeling. I thought I had read that they won't be reinstalled. It was so convenient. My daughter and I could put our things in this bathroom and use the main room for everyone's general stuff.

If they haven't reinstalled the second counter, does anyone know why?:confused3

We stayed in a Garden Wing room this past Christmas. There was a robe hook on the wall opposite the toilet. No counter, but that would have been handy.

I am not sure where you heard that the extra sink and counter would be reinstalled, because why would they have renovated the bathrooms the way they did? If they wanted to keep it the way it was before they never would changed that part.

That's a shame when they remove something like that. You can refurb something without totally changing the style.

Most of the CR rooms I've stayed in previously had the counter space in the toilet room, but very few had a sink in there. That counter space really came in handy.

However, there was no counter or anything in the toilet room (other than the toilet) when I stayed there last month. Since I was on a solo trip, I used one sink as a dry sink, and used it for extra counter space, and used the other sink as a wet sink for washing. I really missed that extra counter, and I missed the towel rack right outside the shower (I used the sink closest the shower for the dry sink and would lay my towels there). There is very little actual counter space in the new bathrooms. There is a strip of counter between the two sinks, that's maybe 6-8 inches wide. Then there is a glass shelf about 6 inches above the floor, where they keep the hairdryer now, and it's very shallow as well, maybe a foot deep. That shelf is really too low to be very practical. The bathrooms may look a lot more stylish, but they're not as functional, in my opinion. I did appreciate the curved shower curtain rod though.

I love the rennovated rooms at CR, but they missed the mark with the bathrooms. Not only is there practically no counterspace, but the flat-bottom sinks don't drain well either. Maybe it all looks cool, but I would prefer conventional sinks and a little space to lay some things.
