CR North wing & Grad Nite???

Anyone ever spend a grad nite in the North Wing of CR? Is it loud?....I'll be there for 2 of them....

when is grad night?? i am going to the cr in 3 weeks. i am so looking forward to it, but hope grad night isn't when i am there. linda

Grad nights are Friday/Saturday nights in May when the park is open all night for high school grads.
You won't notice higher attendance in the parks as they will be in at night but we stayed at the All Stars and Thursday buses of kids rolled in - we couldn't sit near the pools as they were packed with teens throwing each other into the pool. Doubt it if they would be staying at the higher priced resorts.

lijory....if you are there the weekend of April 26....I think that is the first weekend.
I am sure someone here has the dates.

Beware though....we were there last year during Grad nights......
NO parades or fireworks. NO castle shows.
And TONS of teenagers for the whole weekend.

There are 3 Grad Nites - last 2 weekends of April and 1st weekend of May. Some groups are just day groups while others spend the weekend. Previous posters were correct - no MK night parade, no fireworks and MK closes early. Teenagers everywhere. We were going to stay in the Contemporary Tower the last weekend in April, but when we found this out and I queried on this board and found that folks in the Poly could hear the noise from Grad Nite, I switched to Coronado Springs. Even though I have 2 teens, I'd rather deal with conventioners than rowdy teenagers! I heard my son's Grad Nite stories from last year - argh! LOL!

If your on the monorail loop you'll hear Grad night. A couple of years ago, my wife and I stayed in a turret room at the GF.
At about 2:00 AM I woke up to that annoying teeny bopper scream. At first I thought it was coming from the cigar lounge below us.
The sound really travels across the lake.
It is loud and it did wake me up.....however we were able to fall back asleep again. I didn't wake up from it again.

i am arriving on fri. 4/26 and staying at the grosvenor until mon. than switching to cr on 4/29 for four nights. i will be going home on fri 5/3. do you think i will be safe and miss all the noise and confusion of grad night? thanks for your info. linda

You WILL miss the noise and confusion - lucky you!! I do know that MK is open Monday 4/29 til 9:00 with parade and fireworks. The schedule is posted on disneyworld.com. Enjoy!!

Invest in some ear plugs before you go. I always do... otherwise I can't sleep through my DH's snoring!

thanks all you guys for all that info. i can't believe we are going to be there in three weeks. i am getting so nervous, i hope everything goes well. it seems there are so many different reviews of the c.r and the grosvenor, hope i picked the right two. linda
