CR Garden Wing Update- and a little *pixie dust*

Just got the call this weekend... our Garden wing room will be under construction during our Feb trip 21-26. So I guess Garden Wing update has broken ground... They upgraded us to GF.

We already were doing a split stay at GF with a lagoon view room. I asked if they would keep us in the same room and she said they cant promise same exact room, but they will keep us at the lagoon view level for the whole trip! So while i'm disappointed to miss out on our first CR stay... Garden wing ---> GF Lagoon view is certainly not a bad upgrade. Plus a 200.00 gift card!

Enjoy the trip. Though personally, GF from CR is not an upgrade. I'm probably in the minority there though.

Make sure you mention when you arrive that you have 2 reservations in the same room category. It's in their best interest to keep you in the same room if possible. They have to do a complete turn over cleaning if you change rooms. Your room plus the room you move to. They'd rather you stay put and save the 2 cleanings.

OTOH it might be nice to move to a freshly cleaned room halfway through.

I like the CR better than GF too, but now that you can walk to MK from GF, it is a pretty equal lateral move.

I did think about this! I was wondering the same thing... We stayed at the Yacht Club in July (our first post-covid, non canceled trip) and were sooooo disappointed about housekeeping. We have an infant and they refused to remove the dirty diapers in the trash that was piling up. Not to mention there was a sticky spill that was on the counter when we first walked in the room that was never cleaned the entire time. Wondering if it might be better to get the extra cleaning.

Both resorts are new to me- Garden wing wasn't really exciting me though. Much rather have the lagoon view at either!
