CR full in JULY??????

Okay, this is crazy. I know it's not a year out but we made ressies for the CR for July 25 to Aug 1 with no problem about 10 days ago. Well, it turns out we got a great flight deal if we fly in the 24th, so we booked that (non refundable) figuring it wouldn't be an issue adding one lousy day. WRONG! We can't get a room at the CR for the 24th. Does anyone know what is going on that the CR is so incredibly booked? Our stay from the 25th on is in a Tower room, Bay Lake view. Any suggestions on what to do? We've really got our hearts set on Tower Bay Lake and don't want to change the entire ressie for ONE night! If we have to go to another hotel for one night will we be able to access our park hopper tickets tied to the CR ressie? Will WDW move our stuff?? We're totally going WDW transportation this time! You can keep trying to add the 24th to your reservation - but if you have to make it a separate reservation (e.g. booking the room through a different source) no, you will not be able to access the features of your package until your package reservation starts.

There could be a convention going on which might be reason why you can not check-in one day early. I am sure if you keep trying something might come up since July is so far away, however if you were to stay at a Value Resort for one night the next day WDW would move your luggage to the Contemporary.

I would agree that there is probably a convention holding a block of rooms right now. There's a pretty good chance that some rooms will be released between now and July, especially since you have a Bay Lake view. If it were me, I would be checking availability daily, at least online, so you don't miss out if the rooms are released.

Of course, you could look at it as a golden opportunity to try a different resort for one night - maybe a resort you've been thinking about but wondered if you would like. Maybe you could book a night at YC or BC and enjoy Stormalong Bay for the day. Maybe you could book AKL and enjoy the animals for a day. If you are only there one night and you don't like it, no big deal because you're moving the next day anyway. And you never know - you might just find a new favorite!

I booked 3 weeks ago for 08/15-20 and I wanted CR MK view BUT it was sold out??? go figure so I booked The Grand Floridian...I called every other day to check and see if it would come available..and guess what Friday I called and the CM said it must be my lucky day..I GOT IT! Keep trying..remember you can hold a reservation for 14 days before deposit so people take advantage of this...I bet you will get it!

I was trying to get a CR Atrium Club last August and I kept checking online for a few weeks for someone to cancel. Sure enough ,one opened uip! You have plenty of time so if you keep checking online or by phone, I bet something will become available!
