Just thought I would post this for those who might not know. You can go to www.cpsc.gov and sign up to get e-mails when something is recalled. I would say that I get at least a couple a week. Most don't apply to me, but some have. I've seen the same recalls weeks and, sometimes, months later in the newspaper and magazines. There were four new ones today, one being for a strangulation hazard on a co-sleeper bassinet (two babies have been killed) and one for Phil & Ted strollers. Better to be safe than sorry, even if it does mean I get a few extra e-mails a week. :flower3:

The scarier thing about the bassinet is that the company that acquired the company that made the bassinet says they are NOT RESPONSIBLE for recalling it, so they won't be recalling it. Which means it will still be sold, no one will be told (unless they get email from the website mentioned in the OP or find out from friends). Ick.

I got a lot of junky advice while pregnant, but 2 excellent bits of advice stood out. 1, enjoy every moment b/c they change so fast, and 2, sign up for recall emails from cpsc.gov.

I get the emails already, but this inspired me to go to the site and I discovered that I can add their RSS feed to my Google reader -- even easier than the emails!! Thanks!
