CP with a disability

Hello, I am interviewing on tuesday the 13th! My question is about having a disability, I spoke with the recruiter at the presentation and he said to tell the person when you have the interview. At what point would I tell them? Do they ask if you have any limitations? I cannot stand for extremely long periods of time, probably after 4-5 hours I need to sit down for 5 mins. I don't want this to hinder my chances of getting. Right now I work at a grocery store and I have a stool but I don't really use it that much.

The roles I put down were
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Hostess
Merchandise
Attractions
Hospitality
Vacation Planner
Concierge

My order of choices would be
1. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
2. Concierge/Hospitatlity (they seem similar?)
3. Vacation Planner
4. Attractions
5. Merchandise

I think you will be fine During the interview, they are going to ask if you can do the jobs you applied for with or without reasonable accomodation-so bring this up to them then.

I haven't worked there (yet!) but I've been reading a TON on the CP and this is what I have gathered about the roles you mentioned...my information probably isn't 100% right it's just what I have pictured the roles to be like from what I have read
1. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: Seems like a job that pretty much requires being on your feet constantly
2. Concierge/Hospitatlity (they seem similar?): They could probably be relatively accomodating here
3. Vacation Planner: This seems like your job is basically to sit in a booth all day and sell tickets so it seems like it would definitely be ok but I'm not sure...
4. Attractions: There's got to be some attractions where they aren't going to require you to stand all the time lol
5. Merchandise: Maybe they would let you use a stool like at the job you have now, it seems like a pretty common thing that shops allow their employees to do anyways

You might also want to consider adding additional roles to your list! You can ask your interviewer what jobs they think would be the most accomodating to your needs and add them to your application, just make sure it's not a job you will absolutely HATE lol. Good luck!

Pretty much every role on-stage requires you to be on your feet so bringing it up is a good idea. Keep in mind some roles (i.e. hospitality/concierge) are easier to accommodate than others (BBB, attractions).

When I worked there, they gave me a half hour break every 3 hours i think...
They do give you breaks so you should be ok but Disney is very accommodating for disabilities- you just have to tell them.
I was supposed to do housekeeping on my first cp, but because i have back problems, they switched me to a different role.

Keep in mind that they cannot discriminate against someone who has a disability. There are people that work at the World of Disney with me that have wheelchair/limited mobility who have a great time at work. They even made accomidations not to put me into the stock rooms because I cannot handle all of the dust/lint. HTH.
