Which Has Better Food And Which Has Better Character Time??

Crystal Palace has characters for Breakfast, lunch & Dinner. LTT does not...characters are only at Dinner.

We opted to CP because DD6 still loves Pooh, Piglet and the Gang (I do too!!!). My DH also really likes their food.

I never ate at LTT, the menu never seemed to draw me in. :rolleyes1

They are really different experiences:

CP - Pooh & Friends
Buffet for B, L, D (more selection, but you get up and down)
Huge, light, airy convervatory-type room

LT - Mickey & Friends
Family-style meal for D (less selection, they serve you while you rest)
Smaller, revolutionary-themed rooms

I would either pick by the characters you are more interested in, or by the menus. LTT has a limited, but classic, menu. If it doesn't appeal to you, CP has an enormous buffet that you should be able to find something at.

We had great character interaction at both of these places.

Regarding LT: when we went it was Goofy's something or other dinner with Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale & Minnie.
I believe the host is now "Minnie" and the same characters are there as when we went.
I don't believe Micky is there.

Liberty Tree Tavern is my fave meal! It is like a smaller version of Thanksgiving dinner that I do not have to cook or clean up after.:goodvibes You get a salad, rolls, turkey and I think pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, string beans, dressing and dessert is apple crumble and vanilla icecream? Minnie is dressed colonial, there is Pluto, Goofy and Chip and Dale.

Crystal Palace is great because it has the characters from Winnie the Pooh. I thought the buffet was okay, but my hubby and 18yo son loved it. My four year old is too mesmerized by characters to eat much...lol.

Hope you have a great stay!

We didn't like the limited menu at LTT and I didn't think the character interaction was as good as other places. We loved the buffet at CP and my DD loves the parade that the characters do around the restaraunt with the kids.

We have been to LTT several times because we like the atmosphere/theme, it is not as loud as others, it is a break from the buffets, and we have always had great character interaction...But we do always eat there early before it is very crowded so maybe that is why the characters have always been good... In fact, the characters came around twice during our last visit...We love the characters that are there....As mentioned it is now Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip/Dale....We love the dessert (ice cream and apples, yummy)...The food is average...You can order chicken fingers for picky kids which we always do...We like the turkey, mac n cheese, bread rolls, and the chicken fingers most...The other items are okay but not great....But that is okay because they bring more of what you want....

We love the breakfast buffet selection at CP.... We did not like the lunch....The food was much better at the breakfast (in our opinion)... The place is loud and lively...The noise is not too much to handle but it is loud...It is very big so it takes a long time for all the characters to come to your table....We have had two experiences that we were done eating (did not rush to eat) and we did not see two out of four characters...We did not like having to wait for the characters...We are going back to CP for breakfast during our next trip because we really did love the food and the atomsphere is fun....But we will not wait for the characters again and we will not go back for lunch or dinner.

For our trip in September we are going to both because DBF loves LTT and CP is my very favorite resturant in all of Disney :lovestruc I love the buffet (especially the salmon!) and the character interaction is awesome! At LTT we did have a TON more interaction then i would have thought though, Goofy even got me up and we danced around the place!!!! :lmao: So i would guess, since both are fun, and now a must do on our trip, base it off of if your family would enjoy the thanksgiving type food there, or on the characters.

CP- Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eyeore

LTT- Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, Chip and Dale

Me and my boyfriend went to LTT for the first time last September. It was our first character meal, and it was SO fun! Each character came by our table 3 times within the 1 1/2 hours we were there. I wasn't expecting that! We mainly went to see everyone dressed up in their Halloween outfits, since this was on a night of a Halloween party. I doubt we'd do it again, just because we're vegetarian and vegan, so the food isn't anything special for us. We'll be trying Crystal Palace for lunch when we go next year! :)

Just an update I've seen on allears...

The characters at LTT are now Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy.

I'm hoping that's still the line up when we go in August!

LTT was our favorite meal for our last trip. DH insisted that we go again this time!

I think as another poster said, choosing one or the other can depend on your preferences for certain characters, food selection, and atmosphere.
