DD is now officially seasonal and no longer a cp. If anyone is assigned to costuming, I will be glad to pass your info off to her. She works at the MK and is now getting ready for Halloween... And parents, I am more than happy to answer questions from a nervouse parent point of view :)

So what to do with all my questions now? Is this still the right place? We want to come to MNSVSHP and have some discount questions.... Wish there was a board for parents/ families of CM's. I can't tell you how nice it was to ask questions on this board! I really appreciated all the advice.

I am a CM parent too -- mine did the CP, extended, came home for a summer to finish some classes and is now at UCF and part time at Disney.

I don't see why you can't ask questions here.

I am a CM and just finished my CP a few days ago. I am seasonal role in a Lifeguard; however, I worked the first 4 months of my CP in attractions in the Magic Kingdom. I was a Jungle Cruise skipper :P. If you have any questions, please ask and I will do my best to use my resources to find out!

Since you offered.... : )

My son is currently on his way to WDW and checks in on Monday for the CP. I do have a question. We plan to go down in a few weeks to see him and attend the MNSSHP (halloween party). We went last year and loved it! Can the CP CMs get discount tickets to that for family members? How much are the discounts? And where does he get them? (They will probably tell him all this once he checks in, but I am impatient!)

This thread is just what we were looking for! My DS is currently a CP CM. He is interested in becoming a seasonal CM (also possibly a campus rep). We think seasonal is a great idea, but we are wondering if he were to be seasonal and work at WDW for the summer, where do the seasonal CM's live? Thank you very much!

Casual Temporary (Seasonal) Cast Members are responsible for finding their own housing during the period which they are working for the company.

Neither Walt Disney World Co. nor The Walt Disney Company provide housing for non-intern Employees within the United States.

Please note that all Walt Disney World Resort Disney College Programme Campus Representatives are also Casual Temporary Cast Members, and are entitled to pick up shifts in their old work areas as Business Needs permit. They do not need to apply for a seperate CT status.

Thanks so much for the info Glenalais. I wonder what the seasonal CM's do for housing if they have to find it on their own. Then they would have to have their own transportation as well. Thanks again!

i'm assuming they probably just stay at the resort, i mean with the discounts its cheaper than any hotel around! thats for sure lol
and thats transportation too
but is that even allowed?

A lot of people make friends with people that are "full timers" or people from their program that end up staying down there and then make arrangements to stay with them. It's always good to make friends and sometimes they really like visitors! I had a roommate who moved to orlando, she was from florida anyways and I crashed with her when I went to visit.
