I will be starting the CP on 8/10 and was wondering when I will be notified as to what attraction I will be working on. What is D23?? If you have a roomate and things are not working out are you able to switch roomates/living accomodations? Is there a list of items that people bring posted anywhere? Also, I will be flying down and was wondering how people get their belongings there. Do they ship them (and if so to where) as you are not assigned living acomodations until you get there. Or do they just bring as much as they can on the plane?

1.You find out what attraction you get that day when you go to casting
2.D23 is a disney club of some sort and i think its in Disneyland
3.You can switch room but they would like for you guys to arrange a housing meeting at The Commons to sort out you're problems, if you still have problems then you can switch
4. Bring clothes (well duh, lol), not all of them but a good majority because the only time you get to wear them is on you're day off cause you're working the majority of the time, umbrella, sheets.
5. I brought all my stuff with me on the plane. If you're coming in the night before you might wanna ask the hotel you're staying at if its alright if you can ship it there because they wont let you ship it to the housing complexes
6. You can find your roommate on facebook if you belong to those 2011 Fall/fall advantage college program sites and you wont know which housing until you get to check in day. You can say which housing you want, except for The COmmons, thats for international

I think you are thinking of club 33, which is a private restaurant at Disneland for members of said club.
D23 is the official Disney fan club that anyone can join. You pay for your membership, 75 dollars for gold membership(it includes the subscription to the D23 magazine, which is beautiful imo, i want this membership just for the magazine) and silver is 35, with no subscription and the membership lasts for a year. it isn't just for disneyland, but there is an expo/convention in anaheim this year, there are D23 events at both parks :)

Also to switch roommates, you most likely will have to pay a fee, and you don't always have to have a roommate counseling session. I had friends who just wanted to switch from wellness to non wellness when they turned 21, or that they just wanted a smaller apartment or live in a different apartment complex, as long as you pay the money, it's usually fine, but there can be longer waits for different apartment complexes and room sizes, so switches don't always happen immediately.

It's like $50 to change rooms, and I'm pretty sure that if you turn 21 while on your program you can change from wellness to non-wellness free of charge. I didn't switch rooms when I turned 21 but I did turn 21 while I was down there and I think that's what they told me.

that sounds right to me :) I never changed apartments, so i never had to pay a fee. I didn't even have to change when I extended as 3/4's of us stayed and wanted to stay together :D

Another thing to bring is some extra cash. The process is a little long between when you get there and your first paycheck. And that paycheck may not be very big so you want to make sure you have enough money to last you until then.
