Just wanted to let everyone know - did the CP package on Nov. 27th at the Rose & Crown. Never ate here before, never went to CP. IT WAS GREAT! I had purchased the package for my party of 10 - but was only able to get two tables of four and a table of two. Well, we got to the restaurant - only had to wait for 5 minutes or so, then got to our table - which was a table of 10. (They automatically put the tables together to accomodate us). The food was excellent. Great fish, chicken, cottage pies, fresh vegetables, etc. We all really liked it. Then, we went over to the CP at 6:45. This was a very beautiful show - it began to rain but not enough to bother us. It became heavier just as the show was ending - so, perfect timing. Just wanted to give a review in case anyone was wondering what the CP pkg. with Rose & Crown is like. I thought it was well worth the price AND a very good choice.

great info...since DW and I will be at the CP and R&C tommorrow night 12/3!!!!!

We're doing the same CP package later this month. I'm glad to hear the good review! With the package, do you still order off the normal R&C menu? If I remember right from when I made the reservation, do you get an appetizer, main course and dessert?

Thanks!!

We ordered off the menu and I believe this is the regular restaurant menu - it didn't seem to be a "special" one. There was a good selection on it. Included was an appetizer, main course, a dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. Other drinks were just put on a separate bill. (My husband ordered the "mushroom medley" as an appetizer and I tried some - we both really liked it). The salads were good, too. My kids and my dad all ordered the "make your own sundae" dessert. The ice cream came with toppings on the side and the girls' ice cream had a little white chocolate crown on it - my dad's had a dark chocolate crown. It was pretty cute. The other desserts were good though - my mom and sister raved about the apple (I think it was apple crisp?) dessert. I hope you like it as much as we did.

Thanks for the review. We are doing the CP package at Rose & Crown on 12/14. We also did the package at Rose & Crown back in 2001 & 2002 and loved it both times.

Thanks for the review. I can live vicariously through it. :cloud9:

We did the CP with R&C on 12/25/99 and 12/25/02. We loved it. A great combination I think.

Appreciate knowing this - we'll be doing the CP & R&C on the 6th. It will be a first as we've always gone to Chefs de France and we were a little apprehensive.
THANK YOU!

We had our CP dinner at the Rose and Crown on November 29. The meal, the service, and the location of our table, were excellent. We were seated at 8:00 P.M. Our table was out on the porch next to the railing. Illuminations, with the extra special holiday gift at the end. was so close we could feel the heat. All in all, we'll definitely do it again in the future.
