CP or PI...Which one comes first in the calendar year?

I'd like to apply for a PI, but want to apply for CP as well in case I don't get in. I believe you can start applying for the the PI's in September-ish, for Spring.. But I am not sure as to when you can start applying to the CP for spring. If it's sooner then PI, do you tell them you are applying for PI, or would that just make you look like CP is your second choice? Has anyone been through this? Thanks!!

I'm in that boat right now actually. I applied to both at the same time, and my PI screening interviewer was aware that I had applied to the College Program as well. I was accepted to the CP back in February and took the offer. Should my PI pan out (in the last step as of today... hoping for a phone call!) I can have them switch my acceptance to a PI. It's a fairly common occurrence and something they're quite used to.

Basically the same time. But typically CPs can find out in a much shorter time frame. Its been 3 months to find out about my PI (still waiting actually) while I found out about the CP 2 months ago.
