I'm not in grad school anymore, I just earned my masters last Friday. Even though I graduated, I am still doing the CP this fall and will still enroll in the undergrad classes. It'll be nice to have papers without the minimum 15 pages requirement

I talked with two recruiters about my situation and my interviewer was curious as well (being that I'm also married) but all of them gave great advice. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can pass on what they told me.

It's probably too late now, but they also have specific graduate assistantships listed at the career website... I didn't find any particularly interesting however. FYI - because you're a grad student, you'll probably be considered overqualified for a PI, most require that the student is in undergrad.

I had a experience at the magic kingdom last year wile waiting to go on the Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel. I had this little girl who was in a wheelchair and she was too cute . she rely did not speak but she seen one of my pins and I could not help but to give her. It was one of my favorite Mickey pin let me tell you when her mom said thank you for that and seeing her smile . wow it show me the magic of a million dreams ,after that experience of give a simple pin to a child and seeing the joy in her eyes I knew that I wanted to work for Disney . Ps you are so lucky to work their and see what I’m talking about on a daily bases .

On the Facebook group there are about a dozen people over the age of 25, and that's a lot considering that when we were undergrads Fabebook didn't exist I hear there are many more down there and I'm sure we'll be able to find them!

Question for you...how are you handling the housing situation? I'm married, but my hubby won't be with me for most of the time (we'll be staying at AKV for most of January on our DVC points). I want to live with my DDs who are CMs. The only response I got from the CP when I inquired was that there was a panel who made the decisions case by case, so I was curious if you were doing something other than onsite housing.

Also, in your blog, you mentioned that your interview segment for BBB pretty much ended when you said you had no salon experience. BBB is TOP of my list and while I don't have salon experience, I do have 4 DDs and 6 DNieces all of whom have been in dance, so I have, as they say, "skills". Also, my 19yo did her CP at the Boutique, so I've gotten to observe her doing the "do" on my younger 2 several times. Did you get the impression that salon experience was a must?

I am actually staying at the housing since my husband is staying in Iowa. But I have heard that it is very very difficult to get housing off site, so I'm not sure what advice there is for you.

I did, but I didn't fight very hard for it. By the time we got to the BBB I had already gone past the 25 minute mark and I could tell she needed to end the interview. If it is your top pick, I would say that your experience with your daughters would be great and so just make sure that you emphasize it. All that I know is that they only hire 10 BBB CPs per semester, so it is one of the hardest jobs to get.
