Second trip to the world and was looking to do some dining we did not do last trip.

So i was thinking of trying CP on one of nights in MK, and have a reservation already, but seems to have questionable dinner reviews(crowded, just ok food choices, slow to get seated). I have 2 DD's(9&11), but they are not really interested in the characters there, so that is not motivation to go.

We did the 1900 Park Fare dinner last trip and was not all that impressed with that buffet. Is the CP dinner buffet similar to 1900 Park Fare?

We haven't been to 1900 Pk Fare, but we have been to CP for dinner many tims and have never been dissapointed. You do sometimes have to wait a bit to get seated though. I would make an earlier ADR if possible

Worst meal I ever had on WDW property (no joke). If you didn't like 1900, I doubt you will like this.

That being said, CP for breakfast is great! Love that puffed french toast!

We've been 3 times (2x dinner, 1x lunch) and have always had a great meal. There's always a big crowd outside, but we've never waited more than 15 minutes. We've been blessed with great servers each time who have been attentive to the fact that we have had birthdays in our groups. I think the food choices are excellent for a WDW character buffet; lots of selection and the food is fresh. It's nothing fancy, but IMO, you'd have to be really picky not to find something you like. (But, if your family doesn't like buffets, it may not work for you.) We also really enjoy the characters there.

We love CP for dinner. The food has always been good. (this year the mashed potatoes had too much garlic in them for me but that was a fluke)
It is always a nice place to eat and relax while still staying in MK.

We have ate here many times for dinner and always had a good meal. I love their salad and dessert selections. It is a little busy outside but if you have a adr you won't wait too long.

We make CP a must for our main MK dine night. Our kids love it and we enjoy the visit every year.:cool1:

My whole family loves dinner at CP. The kids are adults now so we just wave the characters on by, as we're there for the FOOD!

I have been to CP for dinner many times, and they have all been awesome!. It always takes some time to sit though, because it's very busy. I love the food, characters, and atmosphere here.

We have been there the last 3 trips and never waited with an ADR and the food it good. Beautiful place.

Great meal! We've been many times... it seems to be a longer wait the later you go in the night. Crowded is relative... it's busy but so are all charcter meals!

Our older boys are just a little older than your daughters, so I'll share our experience with CP. We just returned to CP for dinner in January for our pre-schooler's birthday weekend. It had been a very long time since we'd been to CP, but our pre-schooler was very interested in Pooh and friends, and this was a very character meal heavy birthday trip!

The fun: We had a great time! Our pre-schooler was thrilled - he's little and loves Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet. This is not something that appeals to our older boys. But it was a joy to watch our pre-schooler excited about the characters and he was in a great mood that day.

The food: I had really low expectations going in, but I thought some of the salads were quite good. I didn't care for the hot entrees as much and can understand the complaints. A few of the desserts were good, too.

We're so glad we returned to CP, but won't have it in our regular rotation. We were at WDW again in February for a full week and didn't consider a return to CP. While our pre-schooler really loved it, it's not a good value for our two pre-teen "Disney adults," and we didn't enjoy the food all that much. Character meals like Garden Grill dinner, Tusker House breakfast and Ohana breakfast have a broader appeal in our family. We usually hop to Epcot for dinner, but if we are looking for dinner in or around MK, our first choice is California Grill, followed by Ohana or Liberty Tree.

Hope that helps!
