CP dinner package Tier 1 (buffet) dessert included?

Is dessert included in the Tier 1 (buffet) packages?

If so, can you choose any dessert from the regular menu, or is it a predetermined dessert? I'm specifically interested in Restaurant Akershus.

Info here on the DIS says dessert is included, but WDIG omits this information for Tier 1. So, I'd be grateful to anyone who could clear this up for me. TIA

Usually the desserts are part of the buffet, so not ordered from the menu. They are served buffet style just like the meal.

Yes, this usually is the case. I noticed, however, from the menu at WDIG.com, that desserts are not part of the buffet at Restaurant Akershus, and normally cost extra.

I was wondering how this is handled with the CP package. If desserts are included, do you get to choose any dessert from the regular dessert menu, or do they choose for you?

We did the CP package with Restaurant Akershus last December, and dessert was not included.
The rest of the meal was great though!!

Thanks, Flower. That's what I was looking for... a first hand account.

Rather misleading tho, on Disney's part.

Anyone else have experience with this?
