CP Dinner Package Dilemma

I got a CP dinner package for early December for me, DH and DS. Now DS is not going. I called to see if I can get a package for just the 2 of us and I cannot get an ADR anywehere for 2 people. CM said it's harder to get a table for 2 since they don't have many.

If I keep my ADR for 3 and just show up with 2 people, will they amke me pay for 3? If I don't keep this one I won't have a CP dinner package.

I don't know the answer to this, though I think it is possible they would not charge you for the third person. I have copied this thread to our Disney Restaurants board in case someone there might know the answer. Check there as well as here!

I had this same problem and its horrible. Two people really have to plan ahead to get any adrs...especially character meals. At least that has been my expirence. We tried for years to get into the castle for breakfast, one year..2 years ago I got thru and the CM said yes I do, oh no wait thats for 4. i said can't i have tha?t she said no....then asked can you add 2 more to your party? I said no ,noone else is going but you can but 2 people with us, were friendly folks lol....we didn't get the reservation. Finally the next year I called and we got one.

In regards to your question I had an ADR for 3 at CP last April, a cm friend was suppose to join us. She didn't make it do to a schedule change. They did not charge us ..when they said 3..I said our friend couldn't make it...nothing was brought up again. you should be ok.

I understand them wanting to fit in the most people, i get it..more happy guests, more money etc...but Disney needs to realize that people do travel alone and in pairs a lot and need to open up a bit more, just my opinion.
