We will be going to WDW in Nov. and we have ADR's for CP on our first day. The ADR is for 8:05. What is the earliest we can get into the MK and what time would you suggest arriving? Also, how long does it take to eat breakfast at CP?

Hello! You will be allowed to enter the park at *just* about 8 a.m., along with the other ADR holders for CP (assuming it is not an early opening morning). You'll want to be there, at the turnstiles, at about 7:45 or 7:50 -- not to worry, "they" know that the gates open right at the last moment and that it takes people a few minutes to walk over to CP, etc. We generally finish our breakfasts here in about an hour -- it depends mostly on how long it takes your family to eat and to see all of the characters.

Bleeps nailed it. They let us in last year at right about 8:00 for an 8:05 (I think was our ADR). The good thing about the early morning ADR is you are not having to fight the crowds for park entry, and you are usually on the first rotation of charcters at CP. We were in and out right at 1 hour as well.

We have an 8:15 AM ADR for CP. What's that going to mean fo us? It's not like someone is going to finish eating in 15 minutes and vacate their table for us. 8:15 doesn't make any sense to me.

Anyone have experience with how this all works?

Yes, and it works very well.

Disney "staggers" the seating times so that the guests have time to be seated, get their meals at the buffet and be seated in time for the characters to come by.

That way, not everyone is trying to get their first plate of food (and their first pics with Pooh characters) at the same time.

Ah, so they don't have guests=table space at opening, it's guests<table space until some time thereafter.

So we should have no wait when we arrive at 8:15! Very cool!

Thank you, Robo. Now I have no worries about this. :)

We had an 8:05am ADR at CP back in June. We got to the gate at about 7:30. They started letting us in at just after 7:45am. It was great getting in that early. Great picture opportunity as Main St and the area around the Castle are all but deserted.
