I realize they do not mix, and it is hard to get out if she is making noise. My dd is not your typical 2 year old. She's more like a 3 year-old who does quite well sitting and quietly coloring (and will do so for 2 hours straight). However, I get the idea that it isn't good for 3 year olds either, right? I don't want to make her sit in a situation like CP where we can't leave if she pipes up. So this brings me to my dilemma and my debate with my husband.

We really wanted to eat at Le Cellier, and we heard how great the CP package was, so we booked it before we heard it wasn't great for toddlers. Dh really, really wants to eat there. He says we should just eat there and give away our Processional tix before the show. I say this isn't fair to others who want the whole package. He says that we are paying for it, that it will make the couple we give them to very happy, and he will be happy to get a good dinner. So what I want to know is, can you even give the tickets away? Do they require ID or anything other than the tickets to get in? If you can't give them away, that would end the debate once and for all.

We took our DD(2) to Le Cellier when we were there in Sept. She did quite well, although she was a bit grumpy before we even went in. Plus, there were lots of people in there with infants and small children...it's Disney!

If your DH wants to go and eat there, I would do it. You can even try it for lunch if you are afraid of going to dinner with your 2yr old.

But, like I said, it's Dinsey. There are going to be children no matter where you go.

As far as the candlelight processional...we did it a couple of years ago with our DD when she was 6mos old. She slept through most of it. We just sat in the back with the stroller just in case we had to leave, but she was quite good through it all. It is also quite beautiful! I don't think that I would give the tickets away. Something that you should do at least once, especially if you are going to be there at that time, and since you have tickets....

I think you should try your DD at the Candlelight Processional. If she normally sits for long periods, she may actually like it! My DD loved seeing the "Christmas tree" choir. Since its bench seating, you can always sit on the end, and if she would start to act up, you can easily get up and go.

This will be our 7th Candlelight Processional! It is really great! In years past, it was like a little card they gave you with your time stamped on it. I don't think there would be a problem with giving it away; I don't think anyone would be able to tell. But, again, you may want to try to see how your DD does. She may enjoy it!!!!

Have a great trip!!!!

I haven't been since 2001 but at that time they only held package seats for so long. At something like 15 minutes before the show started they opened up those reserved seats to anyone so even if you did decide not to go your seats wouldn't go empty.

Would you have the opportunity to see any of it before your show? On another night or earlier show? Maybe you could get a better idea if your DD would sit through it.

Have a great trip!

I didn't even think about them opening up our seats. That would make some people pretty happy. I have heard that you can hear the music while you are waiting in line, so we will try to check out an earlier show. Who knows, maybe she will be asleep. It's the 8:15 show.

I think with all the pretty lights and music, if your child is like my niece she will do just fine. I have not taken my niece to CP yet, but have taken her to other things like the churches Christmas Cantata, and she did just fine. She loved the music and everything else. I vote take her! Don't give away your tickets. I think you would be sorry that you did.
