How conveinent is "ship access" when you're in Cozumel? I was thinking that we might do a family day for part of the day, and then possibly take the kids back to the kid's club on the ship so that Mom & Dad could go have a beer or two and explore a bit of Cozumel on their own! Is this feasible or would it be too much of a hassle?

It was very easy to get on & off the ship. The pier was a bit of a walk but it was right near the main shopping mall & there are stores & bars for many blocks to the left of the end of the pier.

Absolutely doable. We spent the day at Mr. Sanchos, went back to town to shop, back to the ship for dinner and left the kids to have fun(they are teens) and headed back to Carlos & Charlies for a wild evening! Have fun.

Wow guys, thanks for the super-fast responses! I'm excited to hear that it's easily do-able! Wheee! :cool1: And my trip isn't until 2006 but I don't feel like a dork for asking questions so early, because I see how excited other people are about their (far off) trips, too! (My DH rolls his eyes at me, but whatEVER!)

Definately easy, we didn't have to put kids back on the ship..lol, but we did have to put all our souveniers back on the ship. We headed back, dropped everything off, and came back out to Carlos and Charlies for dinner. It is wonderful..Carlos and Charlies is right across from the dock, and is open in the front..so you have a beautiful ocean breeze and a great view of the Magic all lit up at night while you are having dinner.

If you are tired..there are people with those two seat bicycle type things..they will give you a ride from the top of the dock to the ship, or ship to top of dock. They work for tips, and they are very nice people.

Ooooh, now this sounds like my kind of deal! Although, with as much as I'm sure I'll be eating...walking is probably my best bet. (But hey it's vacation, right?)
