Cozumel Ruins and Beach tour

Anyone tried the excursion? My DD wants to see the Mayan Ruins, but I'm not sure I want to do the all day Tulum Tour.

We did this tour on our July 2002 cruise and did NOT enjoy the ruins tour. Our tour guide forgot who his audience was and started talking about the mathmatical significance of the the Mayan background. I was the only one in my party that even understood what the heck he was talking about b/c I have the Mayan and math background. I didn't think there was much to see and it didn't compare to what it looks like you can see on the other tour. JMHO

We took it in May of this year and really enjoyed it. We really had a great guide and I think that made all the difference. We didn't want the all day tour and this was a nice one for us.

We had time for shopping the morning, lunch on the ship (an early lunch from Pluto's), toured the ruins and then to the beach. A nice day.

The ruins on the mainland are really beautiful, but for us this tour was just what we wanted.
