We just got back from our Western Disney Cruise. WOW!!

A good time was had by all.

The Cozumel Mini golf was especially fun. Sally and Scout do a great job. They have created a tropical paradise complete with palm trees, banana trees, lush tropical foilage, fountains, babbling brooks, cold beer, and 18 pretty challenging mini golf holes.

We played with a group of about 25 and really had a good time. Kids ages 5 - 75 all had fun.

The course is completly shaded by the extensive landscaping and was about 15 degrees cooler than out in the hot sun. It is an inexpensive fun time. Only takes about 1 1/2 hours (less if you are better than we were). Plenty of time to still shop, see the other sites, and have a drink in the evening.

David, how did you get to the the minigolf? We missed it on our June cruise, but I plan on doing that with my kids on our 1/3/04 cruise. Was it walkable from the ship?

Hi CJ,
Its pretty easy. It is walkable from the ship but takes about 15 - 20 minutes (its probably a good mile+). We had 4 kids in tow (one on my shoulders) and made it with the requisite number of "How much further", "I'm tired", and "I can't walk another step". Of course once we got there they all became revitalized and could have run a sub 4 minute mile.

When you get off the ship go to the end of the pier and turn left; walk about 5 blocks to the big flag pole. From there go inland about 4 blocks.

There was several groups with us and they took cabs for bewteen $5 - $10 depending on the number of folks.

Say hi to Sally and Scott for me.

I totally agree about mini golf. What a wonderfull way to spend the morning, much better than shopping! Sally was a very kind host, we enjoyed listening to the Beach Boys while we played and the drink delivery was much appreciated.
We were only adults this trip and had a blast, we are looking forward to taking our kids next time.
If it is very hot I would take a cab so your kids are not worn out just getting there. I think if you ask Sally will post the addess so you can give it to the taxi driver.
For $7pp this was a real bargain.

Just got back from the Nov 8, 2003 Western.

I highly recommend Cozumel Minigolf.

We did the jeep safari tour during the day, then did some shopping, then did the Minigolf, and still had time to make it back for the 8:30 dinner.

The minigolf is not far from the ship. It's an easy 10 minute walk - we did not need to take a taxi. Just walk along the water till you get to the "main street" which is across from the very large flag poll. Then walk about 3 blocks inland and you can't miss it. The last block does not have the pedestrian mall (it's a regular city street). It's located at Corner of Calle 1 and 15th Ave.

We played at night with our 5 year old and she loved it - in fact she was the only one to get a hole in one!

It's really cool how you can request your own music, and order drinks (soft drinks, beer, and sangria) direct to your hole via 2-way radio's (provided).

It's a great thing to do with kids and only takes an hour.

Remember to bring US cash as they don't take credit cards. I think it was 7 USD/pp.

Ditto on the Mini Golf - and if you plan to go, Sally likes blueberry and lemon poppyseed muffin mix!! So maybe you could be a "good Joe/Jill" and bring one or two for her!!!

I really, REALLY enjoyed my time there with my family in August -
