Has anyone ever done this excursion on Cozumel? How was it? OK with a group of kids ages 3-15? Thanks for any help.

I'd like to know too! We have booked this for our 7 night Magic cruise in September.

Frankly if you're just going to the beach it's much less expensive to do this on your own rather than going through DCL (ANY port)

Three of us went to the beach in Coz and it cost us about $40 (taxi and chair rental). We had a "late lunch" on the ship after we returned.

Are you talking about the $32 All Inclusive Beach Break at Nachi Cocom?

We did it about 6 months ago and the beach club is very nice, big pool, jacuzzi, full buffet and all the drinks you want :rotfl:

We had a great day and got more then our moneys worth, drinking frozen drinks all day long. The beach is really nice, I highly recommend it!!

It sounds so great, I definitely want to take my family. Only question I have is if I don't book my 5 year old because it's not worth paying $20 for him when he won't be drinking or eating and the other ammenities are basically free (right?) then will i have a problem getting him in the beach when me and my soon to be husband  will be booked for the all-inclusive day.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or tried it at this beach break special? :confused3

We did the Cozumel Beach Beach through DCL that went to Playa Del Sol. It was too expensive. The kids had a good time 9 & 7, but it was not worth the money. You are treated like royality when you arrive. There is a section roped off for only DCL. But, my parents went to Paradise Beach which only cost them a taxi ride. They said it was wonderful. I will try to go on my own next time.

OK It's me again. I answered my own question after talking with one of the Cozumel break agents and she said that it was no problem at all to just book me and my fiance and then have my 5 year old on the resy but NOT have to pay the all inclusive! So I'm so excited about doing this! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Yesterday I talked to someone I work with that went on the cruise last year. They did Playa Del Sol Beach on their own with their two kids aged 10 & 8. It cost them $8 each to get on the beach plus $15 for a taxi. Seems like that's much more reasonable than the Disney price even though Disney's is all inclusive.

Ok, this brings up another question for me... do you just pay for the taxi and entry fees to the beaches with US currency? And are the taxi's right there after you get off the ship and you just tell them you want to go to Playa Del Sol Beach?

We did the Cozumel Beach break in August of 2004... it was awesome.. :cool1:
Dont forget when you book with DCL you are covered if you are late to return to the cruise.. I went with 3 adults a 15 yr old and 11 yr old.. We had a blast. The Frozen drinks were ever flowing.. and the sodas were not watered down.
The buffet was good and suffient. They had water tubes and paddle boats to use for no fee to us.. The trampoline was so far out and a bit harder to swim to in the salt water.. but we DID IT>> :goodvibes .When we got there the Beach was lined with LOUNGE chairs as a first come first serve basis..

The crystal clear blue pool ws like bath water and great for little ones if they didnt like the salt water..

When you first leave the bus and enter the park.. you get hit with the natives selling their "GOODS".. aways BARTER.. and tell them you will come back later.. they will give you a better price..

The "PASSPORTER"S FIELD GUIDE TO THE DCL" gave it a 8 rating...

good luck and have fun..
