We will be taking our 11.5 month old may 6th...staying at the boardwalk inn. I am at the tail end of weaning her from breast milk and she has started on whole cows milk. I just read in another thread that it's not so easy to get whole milk in the parks?? Also , do they sell yo baby yogurt in the stores? i know the boarwalk has a big store as we have stayed there 2 times before but without a baby! we are first time parents! :)

It is suggested that a baby drink whole milk for the second year for brain development, but a week of reduced fat milk won't hurt a baby. At 11 months, there are so many high fat dairy products for a toddler to eat, such as cheese. Wait until you get to #5 - you will stress out much less! ;)

When we stayed at POP last year, they had gallons or half gallons (not sure which one as I'm Cdn and we measure in litres) for sale right in the market section of the food court. It was quite pricey like $10 if I remember correctly. We just picked some up at a local store.
I do not recall seeing YoBaby yogurt but then again I wasn't looking for it.

They have both milk and yogurt that don't have to be refrigerated if you end up having to take it with you.

Milk you can find in any grocery store, the yogurt I've seen at BRU and Whole Foods.

You might want to pick up a can of that toddler formula for your trip instead. That way you can just mix up a cup at a time with water. Make sure you baby likes it before you leave though!

Have not seen Yo-baby yogurt at WDW.

Exactly!

I had no trouble finding whole milk in the parks or our resort. Yogurt was a different story though. All I could find was stuff with artificial sweeteners in it. Next time I'm going to pick up some yogurt from the grocery store or order it from a delivery service.

Whole milk is easy to find, however the yogurt is all Dannon or Yoplait. If you are looking for something like Stoneyfields baby yogurt you will need to get that from a grocers.

I don't remember having a problem finding milk in the parks. I can't remember if it was whole or one of the "%" milks, though. The yogurt I have no idea, DD isn't a fan.

One thing I did bring was the Horizon Organic Milk boxes, though. They were ridiculously handy!

Be sure your baby will drink the milk boxes before you take them. DGS is a huge milk drinker and will not drink those at all!!!

I had whole milk and yo-baby delivered by garden grocier. You might want to give them a call and see if they have any deliver slots left.

When we went with the 17-month-old, I ordered from Garden Grocer, it was much easier to just fill the cooler before we left for the day rather than having to worry about waiting in line to get milk if she was thirsty!

All of the resorts have whole and you can find it in the parks but if you have to grab a 2% now and then like pp's said it will be fine.

For a child that age I would still consider a grocery delivery for the must have's - we use garden grocer and love it. You can have favorite brands and reasonable prices. I am sure there will be many firsts like mickey bars on this vacation so having the tried & true standards can help keep away the bellyaches.

we order from garden grocer
You can get stonyfield farms yogurt tubes (organic product) so no corn syrup or corn starch in it as well as no art. sweetners.
You can also get whole milk.
We often order vitamin water, yogurt tubes, fresh fruit, milk, and some bottled water.

I would try to order it from the grocery service they have or maybe make a trip over to Gooding's.

I've always have had trouble finding whole milk products for my under-2's...but we live close enough that I just pack a cooler of what I'll need and bring it with me. Most everything they have is low fat--but the shop may have some whole milk. I just cannot remember.

I had no problem getting whole milk in Sept, I remember getting it at Peco Bills & buffets, etc. As for Yo Baby, I ordered mine from Garden Grocers, I don't remember seeing any baby yogurt anywhere in the parks.
