coworkers last day today - pizza and cake

Can I bring home my slices to my DS or is that tacky?
There is no way I can eat pizza or cake!

If it was me, I'd eat two pieces of pizza, without the crust!

It is very hard at work, when there's a party with food that you can't eat. But, if you just ignore the food, you will feel very proud of yourself afterwards!! Good luck!

Im sitting here watching the desk while they are at this party! once again i get to miss out cos Im "allergic" to this stuff! Cant eat pizza or cake

Barb, don't look at it as "missing out"...look at it as a new way of life...as doing something very healthy and good for your body! That is how I would feel anyway. Don't you feel a great sense of accomplishment when you can come to the WISH board and announce that you have lost 1, 2, 3 or even 5 pounds?? I know I do!!

just pack a salad and go anyway! I work in a smallish place (until next week which is my last day at present job and they planning on ordering a large subway sub ) but anyway I usually "chip in" a couple of bucks and politely say don't count me in on the order, I'll be there but bringing my salad. Haven't had any problems so far.

The boss brought in her famous egg/sausage/cheese casserole -which also includes bread in the recipe- the other day.

I ate my oatmeal and let the others enjoy it.

I try to do what Grammy does too. It's tough at first, but it gets easier.

I know my church is having a softball team picnic next week and I have informed them to not count on my for eating any of the meat...too much fat for my plan. I plan on eating my dinner before I go and taking a big container of ice water. As for your situation there are plenty of times individual's at my work bring their own lunch to gatherings because of their eating plans.

The children's dept wasnt informed of the pizza/cake party until after we got to work yesterday.
I didnt eat any pizza/cake but I did have some pretzels last night -guess my day could have been worse foodwise.
