Hello,

I have just been reading the review page and ha a few questions. We are planning to eat here on our next trip as DD loves woody! I have enforced princesses on her so much she is rebelling lol!

. Is it a 3 course counter service meal? Just looks a lot of food for us! Has any one been cheeky and had 2 adults share?

It's not much as in exaggerated much. You get a salad/chili con carne, potato wedges (they're delicious!) with whatever you pick. We both had the Angus cheeseburgers, they were quite big but really tasty. The dessert isn't very big, I had the lemon meringue thing, it's just a medium sized cup and I found it a very light dessert, quite good to, it didn't give you that "oh my god I've eaten waaaay to much" feeling you get with most desserts.

Boyfriend had a Magnum Ice Cream bar and finished everything of without any problems. I on the other hand didn't touch my salad, I'm not a fan of them nor of the chili con carne but you pay for it so I just pick something anyway. But I finished my main, there aren't that many potato wedges so I think it wouldn't be enough to share for 2 if you're going to share with two adults.

I don't really think they'd allow it neither. They're stricter on that then other counterservice restaurants. In the others you just pick what you want, but here they really work with the menus and menus only, you can't mix and match like you can in the other counterservice restaurants.

Ok thank you 26,00 Euros just seems quiet steep but I guess you are paying for the character experience

When I went in to have a look there was a meeter/greeter checking reservations and asking people how many etc.

I "think" that they give you "tickets" that correspond to the number of people, you then go to the counter with these

But someone will confirm as since it's characters I'm not going in to eat atm

thats the same system, and its not anywhere near as good value as the lunch would be, in my opinion. We did the tea party, didn't rate the pastries etc at all, the kids drinks were jugs of orange or cola that were brought round by the CMs and theres a hot drinks machine which you can help yourself to. You will leave the tea party feeling hungry, its definitely not a meal replacement. The character set-up at both meals is the same.

I think its just me, but I just don't rate the Cowboy Cookout as a character meal venue.

We went yesterday - and can honestly say it was the best character meal we have had at DLP. Food was lovely - yes it is a 3 course CS meal, but the salad, chicken and deserts were delicious and I thought very good value for money! And the character interaction was amazing - we went at 11:30am, and there were only about 4 families there when the characters came out. I'll put a full review in my TR, but Rosebug spent the entire time dancing with the characters (line dancing, conga etc.) and being licked by Pluto! She met Jessie, Woody, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy and Rabbit!

Well worth the money and definitely a highlight of our trip!

oh, that's sounds lovely... I still live in hope they will keep it as it is for next year really want to have characters meal here...

As others have said, there is a lot of food but you don't have to eat it all (we left our chilli starters as we knew we couldn't eat it all). And yes, they do a number of persons on the ticket before you go in as there is a CM takes your details.

In our opinion it was the best value character meal too. Although we always do Cafe Mickey as the character interaction is usually good, we don't rate the food or service that much (although to be fair our last trip, our waitress was great). We found CBCO much better. Our girls had some amazing character interaction here too - among other things, Woody was playing hide and seek with them which was fab, Daisy was fab with them too - loved it all .

DH is disappointed it won't be there in November when we go!

I wouldn't have thought you would need to reserve (the park was busy when we were there but the place wasn't totally full). But, if you are reserving other places then it is probably worth it at the same time. It is worth going early 11.30 am ish and getting settled etc before more people descend .

Thanks every one spoke to mum and dad today about it and they are happy to eat here, we will also be returning to our favourite cafe Mickey.

It sounds really good, think it's going on our must do list! However, Milly isn't 3 and really isn't a big eater at all - are we ok to just share with her? She certainly won't eat her own meal!

My DS2 was over 3, but they counted him as under 3. Probably because of the stroller. Didn't have to buy him a meal.
