So if there’s a Covid positive contact in the kids club all the kids that are there for that slot get quarantined. Is this also the case with excursions? If someone that you shared a bus with tests positive, everyone in that bus gets quarantined?
That would not be a comparable situation. The adults in the club scenario had no direct exposure to the positive child. It was their child who was exposed in the kids' club, their child tested negative but because their child was exposed, still needed to quarantine. Because the adults had no direct exposure they were not required to quarantine, it was not based on vaccination status. As far as I'm aware, no one has posted or knows if there is a policy for those vaccinated who are exposed during the cruise.I assume only unvaccinated guests will be quarantined? In the kid club case a few weeks ago, I remember the poster who lived this situation wrote that the adults didn't have to quarantine, only the unvaccinated child but since on adult had to stay with the child, they decided to quarantine as a family. I would assume it would be the same for an excursion.
Currently, all unvaccinated passengers on a cruise of 5+ nights are tested the day prior to final debarkation. I would assume that anyone exhibiting symptoms might be tested during the cruise as well. How are these people finding out they are positive? Are they getting sick? There is no random testing once onboard is there?

It's very unlikely that a person who was asymptomatic on your excursion would, in the space of a few days, get sick enough to need to be tested, and that DCL would then contact trace it back to you and everyone else on their excursion bus & ordered into quarantine. Not impossible, but not a likely scenario. By the time all that came to pass, the cruise would probably be just about over, anyway.I would assume so. That is why we cancelled our excursion in Costa Maya. Did not want to be on a bus 45 minutes each way with guests who could have covid. I am sure DCL would have quarantined us too if someone on the excursion tested positive for covid. We just stayed on the ship. We can do excursions another time when there is no threat of covid quarantine.

Reboarding the ship after a port adventure isn't like embarkation, where everyone gets rapid tested.
I was on a Celebrity cruise in October and on the sailing before mine, a passenger tested positive and everyone who had been on the excursion bus with them was quarantined. I didn't go on any ship excursions, partly due to that.So if there’s a Covid positive contact in the kids club all the kids that are there for that slot get quarantined. I personally took 6 days after exposure to start having symptoms, 2 days after testing positive. (I was fully vaccinated)I thought all of this over before cancelling the excursion. This excursion was on day 3 of an 8 day cruise. Plenty of time left for someone to start showing symptoms and need to be tested. Everyone I know that has gotten covid showed symptoms 2-3 days after being exposed.
Went to the Bahamas 4 weeks ago and while in Freeport there were double decker busses carrying people around the island with no mask mandate, and they put as many people as they could fit on them. Nobody wears a mask in the Bahamas. Made three stops. Must remember, the Bahamas didn't start providing the shots until Oct. 21, 2021. They don't check anything. You get off the ship and back on just like it has always been on a cruise. Just have to have you cruise card to get back on the ship.Stupid question. I might be wrong, but I had read that if somebody tests postive at the port and took the DCL transfer buses, everyone else is ok. as I believe there is a mask requirement. correct me if wrong..
Do excursion buses not have a mask requirement? If not, they should and keep the same policy as the DCL transfers. or if you do need to wear masks, why is this policy different than the DCL transfer to port buses?? Maybe I got something wrong ??
