Cover Tattoos??

If the tattoos are tasteful- should they still be covered in a family place, like WDW??

Visiting, or working at WDW? ( I don't know if this is another College Program thread?)

If you are visiting - as long as they are tasteful, that is up to you, and what you deem appropriate. There are even a couple guys who get a new Disney tattoo after each trip, and obviously show them off as much as possible.

If you are working at WDW, then they must be covered at all times.

As long as they are in good taste, I say show 'em off! I have seen some very cool body art in lines at WDW & I love it. Wish I had the guts to get one myself...

if you're a cp kid, it must be covered up anytime that you are at work or visiting the work place. while at the apartment complex it doesn't matter. visiting anywhere on disney if it is shown, it must be in good taste incase of a chance that a guest finds out who you are. last time i was there, we were told that you repersent disney whether working or playing on property so you must present that in the way you look and must follow the clothing/costume guidelines set forth in the manual.
if you are just visiting, as long as it's in good taste would i personally show it off (i have one myself), but there is no rule on tatoos.

I have one ear ring and I know that I cannot wear it when I am at work, but what other times as a WDWCP am i not allowed to wear it? I dont mind if I have to keep it out for a while, I just dont want it closing up.

Once you've clocked out, taken of your costume and name tag, you can wear whatever you like.

This is all good to know, cuz I have a tattoo also, and I will be a cast member for the first time in August. Do they allow you to cover up tattoo's with make up? I read that you can but a good cover up at bridal shops.

What it deemed "innapropriate?"

The only things I can think of are

A. Obscene Language
B. Nudity
C. Drug Related


Other than that, what is considered distasteful?

I have the word "Remedy" on my right wrist but its small enough to be covered up by a watch if need be.

tinkerbellwings - i beleive so. I had a CM at my location who had a tattoo on the inside of his arm. He either had to wear a long sleeve black shirt under his costume, or wear skin toned cover-up.

that's really good to know. thank you. So who here is going to be living at the Vista Way Apts. this August? That's where I'll be staying. I think it would be cool to get to know some of my roommates before I get there.
