Spending 10 nights at the WL with Courtyard view. I thought a room in the bears face would be good , but from the pictures I see a tree seems to be blocking the 4th and 5th floor rooms. If I am spending that kind of $ I would like to be able to see :teeth: What courtyard room would you suggest, and not ?? If you have a picture of your view please post if you can with a room number.

it funny, that tree was right ther....but I still saw everything! the water parade and the pool...and even some fireworks from epcot! I did want to trim the top of it thou!!! also right next door is a public viewing area...outdoors with tables and chairs...and no one was even using it!

DisneyWorld! your pictures are the ones that got me to thnking about maybe not asking for one of those rooms. I had requsted a bears face room thinking it would be perfect but now :sad2: I am rethinking it. I know it is just a request, but since I am paying for the CYV I want to try and get what I want. Thanks for posting all your pictures, they were great !

Thanks shopgirl72 for the shortcut to those pictures.

When we stayed at the WL in 2002, we were assigned a room in the "Bear's Face". The Cast Member at the front desk told me that we got a great room. When we got up there, first thing we did was go look out the balcony. There was a huge tree right outside the window. We could see the water and courtyard, but the tree was right there blocking most of the view.

I went downstairs and asked (politely) if there were any other courtyard view rooms available. I specifically asked if there were any inner courtyard view rooms that faced (sort of) the Magic Kingdom.

So, she transferred us to a room down toward the end of the halls of the "U" shape. We enjoyed that view much better. I can't recall what room number it was.

I would do the samthing...I got an upgrade thoufrom standard...I was not gonna complain!! but if I paid........I probaly would have

Definitely ask for a room higher than the first floor. We couldn't see anything on the ground floor.

By the way......

That was the first time I had ever asked to be moved. We usually are not picky, but that tree just blocked most of the view that we paid for!

And if I remember right, it was on the 5th floor. And outside the room we would have looked out into the lobby.
