Has anyone ever stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Village?

We have 5 people, which is the max for their room (including a rollaway bed) so we are wondering if it will be really cramped in there. However, for $39/night, I am tempted to put up with that.

My favorite hotel offsite!

I think it's safe to say that you'll be a little cramped. I'd say without an Disney moderate or above resort, or an offsite suite, you're going to be cramped. But the hotel is great.

Good points: The hotel is pretty new (March 2001, I believe) and the rooms and commons show it. The beds were simply awsome. Get a balcony if you can, preferably overlooking the pool area. There's good onsite food, and nice restaurants just off site (within walking distance). The location, just a short mile from DTD and the Epcot/MGM area, can't be beat (don't get back on Route 4, ask hotel staff to tell you how to get to the Hotel Blvd. Plaza entrance). Location may be what I liked best. And it's a very, very secure property.

But the neatest thing is the pool area, and so few people seemed to use it. A zero-entry pool, and it's indoor/outdoor, seperated by a waterfall. Kids seem to love it, even us over-40 kids. It also has one indoor and one outdoor hot tub. And there's a gazebo in the pool area where DW and I ate a few meals. Plenty of chairs, etc.

I can't speak for how you'll deal with five in a room, but the rooms are certainly no bigger nor smaller than others in that price range. And at under fifty bucks, I'll bet you'll find it a major find.

Enjoy!

Pat,

Thanks for your feedback on the hotel. I am only staying there two nights, and the 5th person is my DS (4), so I think it's going to be OK. I guess a little family togetherness won't hurt. We plan to hit the nightlife at downtown Disney and then Sea World the next day before heading out on a cruise.

Besides, I bet we will be so exhausted by the time we get back that we won't do much but collapse into bed!

If your goals are rest and some DTD nightlife, you'll be stunned what a little gem this hotel is. Don't miss the pool. Enjoy. Wish I could sneak in with you...

YIKES! I just found out that the $39 deal is NOT for the Courtyard at the Marriott Village. It's the one at Downtown Disney. Ever stay here before??

Both Courtyards are great!!! The one at DTD has two pools. The manager at the CY at DTD is fantastic. You will have a wonderful time at the hotel.

I agree with safetymom. There's a slight tradeoff, the DTD CY is an older (but clean) hotel, a little worn down. On the other hand, instead of being a short drive from DTD and PI, you're now a short walk, which can be a major advantage if you like your nightlife a little on the wilder side. Quite frankly, either hotel is a steal at $39.

Is this the Marriott Village at Little Lake Bryan?

Does the pool have a slide? Pool bar? What kind of food do they have without having to drive somewhere?
What kind of room amenites? free breakfast?
Thanks,
Susy- may start staying offsite now and then- I can't believe I typed that!

CY doesn't have a free breakfast but does have a restaurant. Fairfield and SpringHill does have free breakfast. There is a food court for fast food type meals between CY and Fairfield.

Suzy we stayed at SS on our last trip, the free breakfast included-cereals,muffins,bagels,fruit,juices& beverages.Don't know what the pools are like at the other 2 but at SS it was fairly standard & no slide. As well as the food court( not open during our stay-not enough guests!!) there is a walkway to a Golden Corral & Bahama Breeze-5 mins walk if that- Hope this helps
