We're staying at this Courtyard with the water park for the first time ever and are pretty excited about it. We've stayed at the DLH and GCH in the past but this time are looking to spend a bit less money and have a bit more space:)

How big are the mini fridges? Also, there's a microwave in the room right? We plan on stopping by Target and grabbing snacks (like string cheese), quick breakfast items (like yogurt, granola), a big bottle of juice, and bottled waters to keep in the mini fridge. The DLH mini fridge was adequate for us - is the Courtyard fridge comparable?

Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but we are staying at that hotel too. I'm excited! I booked a fireworks view room, and I'm hoping it'll actually be a good view. This is our first DL trip. Can't wait!

I don't know about comparison, but I just found a couple pics on Tripadvisor, and it looks pretty small. The 2 pics I saw seem to show it off the raised off the floor, with the microwave above that.
Good part is that is reduces the bending down to get in the fridge, plus it's obviously all very new and I'm sure - working - appliances, just very "space-saver" :rolleyes1

We just stayed there last week. It's just a standard mini fridge to me. We used it for drinks and could easily store a dozen or so with no problem. We stayed in the 2 br suite so the set up for the fridge and microwave might be different - our fridge was in a cabinet just about waist high and the microwave was next to it outside the cabinet. Very convenient.

Loved the hotel, service and water park area. The room was fantastic! I arrived ahead of the rest of my group and stayed at the HOJO next door for 3 nights- The Courtyard is so much better, just no comparison!

In agreement with the above poster. Definitely standard mini fridge size. We bought two flats of water and a couple cases of soda. We were able to put half of each in the fridge.

One thing that threw us a little about the fridge was that it only stays on for two (or is it 3??) hours. It wasn't turned on when we filled it and we didn't notice the switch inside needed to activate it. We asked at the desk about why it doesn't stay on. They said it runs for a few hours and then as long as it stays closed it keeps things cold. We just flipped it back on once each morning to maintain the temperature.

Enjoy the hotel. We absolutely loved it and will definitely stay there again.

Can I ask - what is around the hotel that we can shop for drinks etc that we can get to with no car?

There are no regular stores within walking distance, at least none that we saw. This hotel has a nice gift/sundry shop, but as we found at several of these little shops- prices rivaled park pricing.
