Hi! So we are San Diegans taking our 4 year old dd for the first time along with a 7 year old DD. We have always stayed on property but this time venturing off. Has anyone stayed at this property? Is the walk really only 5 minutes? That is how long we feel the DL hotel is? DO you also think we can do both parks in 2 days? My AP is not good on a Saturday?

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park Entrance back when it first opened and it was very nice. Everything was new and clean. The beds were comfy and the rooms seemed fairly nice. The only drawback is that there is only valet parking, but they were pretty quick about bringing the car out. The walk was probably between 5 and 10 minutes depending on how fast you walk and the timing of the lights.

In terms of the number of days, I think you can do a lot in two days, but you'll have to prioritize which attractions, shows, character meet & greets, etc. that you want to do. I don't think you can do all or even most of the parks in only two days.

For APs, different APs have different blockout days. You can check the block-out calendar to determine which days are blocked for your pass.

I would also recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Theme Park Entrance. It is a very nice and very clean hotel. We really enjoyed our stay there. It is a very short walk (probably an 8 minute walk to the front gates, at least for us), definitely feels closer than the Disneyland hotel. Probably the same walk as the Paradise Pier Hotel. Valet parking is about $20 a day, though.

You can probably do quite a bit in 2 days if you prioritize. You definitely won't be able to see and do everything in either park. If you wanted to hit mostly everything, it would probably take 4-5 days.

I am a bit of an on site snob but recently stayed at the Courtyard on point and loved it where the Fairfiled Inn for me was just "Meh".

IMO it is the nicest off site property that is reasonably walkable on Harbor. Only a few min walk.

Thank you! I feel like I am onsite snob as well, I am bummed to miss out on the magic mornings! Especially since my little one will have one with her 3 day park hopper. Which we are now getting because of the Socal deal! Thanks for making me feel better about my choice of hotels!
