Courtyard by Marriott/Downtown Disney

I just saw the promo for the $25 a night rate. I am very excited by this. I just priced it and for the 8 days that we will be in FL it would be $100 less than the rate we got for POFQ, not including the extra 3 nights we were going to pay off property.

I have a couple of questions:

1. The Downtown Disney site states they participate in early entry(which is no more from what I understand)..does this mean they would also participate in e-ride night?

2. Who has stayed here and what kind of experience did you have?

3. Was the elusive "magic" missing? I feel that we will have the "magic" anywhere we go..we just need a room to sleep and bathe.

4. The buses run every 30 minutes correct?

5. Can you walk to Downtown Disney?

Yes - buy tickets at the Disney-run gift shop in the hotel
We did have a Cast Member once last year who did not think he could do it - but he checked the register and there they were. By joining the Marriott club you can get airline miles for the stay too.

We prefer the scheduled bus service to the ad-hoc Disney resort bus service. We leave the room at a set time and get on a bus! Parking = OK; Service = Excellent; Free coffee 24hours on the right-hand side of the bar in the atrium not well advertised, just help yourself.

No missing magic for us - but then we only sleep and bathe in the hotel too - then Disney Disney Disney!

And if you just miss one cross over to the Grosvenor and catch it on its way back.

Yes - about 800 yards. Cross the road at the lights and pass the Grosvenor and a parking lot - then cross Buena Vista Drive to the new toy store. Disney buses are just on the right if you need to go to a resort for dinner/shopping/etc.

I hope this is not a foolish question on somethings I should already be able to understand - probably!!

I am keen to book the fantastic $25 Courtyard by Marriott deal as well - but I do not understand what is required in the field which says password for the booking. Do you have to be a member of a travel club to get this rate?
