Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance? If so, what are your general thoughts, and what is the approximate time to walk to the gates?

It's definitely more expensive than other hotels across the street (ranges about $250 a night), but it seems REALLY nice. The rooms look huge, and it has a nice little waterpark (although I don't have children, so that's not much of an issue). Trying to talk myself into paying a bit more for this hotel...but keep wondering if PVI is a better option overall.

I stayed in it once the October after it opened and might be switching to saying there during our summer trip if their peak season rooms ever open up. It's a wonderful hotel for families. The rooms all have very comfortable beds, including a bunk bed, a breakfast nook, and a bathroom with a tub and a shower in different sections. We didn't use the water park while we were there, but it's also amazing if the comments from people I talked to in the lobby were any indication. If I could afford it for every trip, we'd go there. It's a bit expensive, but if it's in your price range, it's absolutely worth it. The walk to the parks is about 8 minutes and it's so much nicer than any of the motels on that block.

That's what I'm most concerned about, and the price is definitely not a deal breaker if it means that I can stay at a generally nicer establishment. 8 minutes is great too -- not bad at all! Thanks for the input!

I am a Marriott Platinum member...which means I stay in a LOT of their properties...most in the Courtyard category and it is one of the nicest I have stared at anywhere in the country. I have been to to the Fairfield quite a few times and that is just "meh" but the Courtyard I was impressed with, especially the room layout for a family on a Disney trip.

My opinion it is the nicest off site hotel that is walkable to the park...and the walk was not even a factor when we stayed there.

Now, I would still take the PPH any day over the Courtyard but for an off site option I highly recommend.

I stayed in one of the King Corner Suite rooms back in October of 2015 (not long after it opened). I normally stay at the Best Western Park Place Inn when going to DLR. The Courtyard Waterpark Theme Park Entrance is a hotel (rather than a motel like the BWPPI or PVI).

It was still new at the time, so the rooms look pretty good with a generally modern feel and design. The color scheme was fairly muted, but it went with the overall modern feel to the place. The Corner Suite had plenty of windows, so there was a fair amount of ambient light during the day, which was nice. The rooms seemed pretty quiet; I couldn't hear anything from the adjacent rooms. The master bed room was spacious enough with a small closet (that included the safe). The second "bedroom" was okay (had two twin bunk beds)...the beds were fine, but neither of the entrances into the room had doors. So I would recommend bringing a tension rod and a curtain to cover the opening for a little more privacy in that room. The main room had a long desk, a two dining tables, a couch, and a chair. We used one table to eat and the other (along with the desk) to put stuff. It had a mini-fridge and small microwave which we used to re-heat food for breakfast. They do have a cafe type place downstairs for food, but it can get pricey if you eat there a lot. The staff seemed friendly and responsive as well. Valet parking is the only option, so you do have to call down (or text) to get your car. The was brought pretty quickly, but it is something to keep in mind. Because it is a hotel, there are bellhops that will help with your luggage. Lastly, there is a Waterpark, which is a lot of fun...there are two big slides and another small one. If you don't want to get wet, make sure you stand outside of the water cannon range (I didn't and ended up getting wet!). It took us about 10-12 minutes to walk to the parks (time from leaving the room to getting to security). It depended on who was walking (we had some slow walkers with us) and how the lights went.

Overall, I really liked the Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance and would happily stay there again. The main reason my family continues to stay at the BWPPI is that the BWPPI is closer to DLR (so a shorter walk, which matters at the end of the day) and the BWPPI is less expensive.

Love love LOVE this hotel !! we stayed there oct.31-nov.5th !! it will now be our go to hotel ! Stayed with my hubby and 4 kids in a standard room (bunk bed and 2 queens) and we had more than enough room for us all !!
once thing that i LOVED (and its still i know) is at the door to get into your room is a place to park your stroller !! most hotels i have stayed at we have to fold it every night and unload/reload each morning !!
The water park was a huge hit for my kids as well. im pretty sure they liked it more than disneyland !!!
you will not regret paying the extra money for this place !!

Ihave stayed at the candy cane inn, park vue, Bestwestern inn and mini suites, red lion and this hotel is so far beyond all of those :) !!

I stayed there back in August with DH, our two DD's and my Dd's friend. We LOVED it. The rooms are very spacious. The only downside is the pool is only about 3 feet deep, but the hot tub is great.
