If I select a
1 Bedroom Bunk Bed Suite, Suite, 1 King, Waterpark view on Marriott's website, I am charged the full booking for 3 nights stay.

If I book a
Suite, 1 Bedroom, View room on Orbitz's website, I can "Reserve Now, Pay Later." It says it's a King room in small print but does not clarify what type of view it is.

Does anyone know?? Is it a waterpark view, or a Disney view, or parking lot "view"??

I'm fairly sure it is the same room, but I would book orbitz and call the hotel and ask to be totally sure. Also, from staying there, I can't imagine that any view there is worth paying extra for but maybe there is an angle I am not thinking of. One thing I did not realize that made a big difference to me is that I could only get Marriot points if I booked directly though their site.

Hotel room names can be so confusing.
We stayed there Oct 2015, not long after they opened. We were in the highest category Room which had the bunk beds, double shower bathroom, King Bed, and a theme park view. We watched fireworks from our balcony the first night. Very similar to the HoJo's theme park view rooms (the view is, I mean).

You can also book that same room on the Marriott site, though, with a fully refundable rate that is a bit higher. I know they post all the nonrefundable rates first, but if you scroll, you can find the refundable ones. Personally, I don't think it's worth the savings to not have the flexibility, but that might just be me. The first (and only) nonrefundable hotel I've booked is for our upcoming stay at WDW at Beach Club--since we got it through David's Vacation Club, we had to pay for it up front. And even then we also purchased trip insurance.

Is this the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim on 2045 S Harbor Blvd? The hotel is 1/2 mile from Disneyland so not sure what "waterpark" view they are referring to since there is no water park at Disneyland.

Would you mind telling me who you booked the insurance through?
