Coupons - Where are they now?

First and foremost, I am a tightwad just ask my wife.

It literally gets me nervous when I buy something that is now on sale or have a Promo code, free shipping or something.

While I think they wife and I are doing pretty good when it comes to buying stuff ( cars, electronics, clothes, etc.) at good deals, when it comes to groceries and toiletries, I am not doing as good as I think we can.

While we search for items on sales in the grocery store, I hear stories of people saving $$$$ with coupons. The problem is I cannot find any coupons.

They used to show up in the Sunday paper, but I can't seem to find any ones worth while.

So I guess my question is where you find your coupons for groceries.

We have specific items that we like (i.e. Bounty Paper Towels, etc.) but no luck for me.

Any advice, website suggestions, etc?

try ebay. some even come with coupon clippers.

You can check out www.mycoupons.com and click on "shopping boards" in the bottom right and then go to the Tips of the Trade section (TOT). They will tell you how to use your coupons!!

Most of the time the best deals are when things are buy one get one free and you can use 2 coupons. Or when stores have sale prices and the coupons make them cheap and/or free. The board mentioned above lists alot of great deals and how to use your coupons.

Some areas have stores that double coupons. Try and see if any stores do that in your area. I live in Chicagoland where no doubling can be found.

Since I started frequently the coupon board, I have gotten free toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, soap, makeup, razors, deoderant, etc. Paper towels and that stuff can be more difficult. But lots of people stock up when they can get things for free or for a few cents, then they have a supply until the next time. I have about 6 deoderants in my cupboard and 6 bottles of shampoo and 6 toothbrushes, etc. Now I have a stock until the next great deal.
